"city w jonathan" or "empire state building"

Hey Journal!

Well, I have a ton to write about from the last two days... but I have to do one at a time! Let's start with Sunday!

Okay... We got up around 10:30, got our stuff ready for our trip to the city, and then went to brunch with Mike at the 56th Fighter Group or something in Farmingdale. It was a very strange place, a kinda...old themed place, but a very strange decor, and it really draws a strange crowd!!

We consumed our brunch and then had to get a train from Pinelawn to the city. We parked the car at the golf course, and had some time to kill, so we went inside, and Dan saw the new offices, and I worked on something that needed to get done, and then we walked down to the train station. You know, it's a LOT farther away than it looks! In the car it takes 30 seconds! On foot it was like 30 minutes!

It only takes an hour from there to get in to the city, and it's less expensive than Ronkonkoma, so that's nice.

We got into the city around 4, and met Jonathan at his hotel, and we put our stuff down and then went out. We went to go look for a store called Le Chateau. Le Chateau is a Quebecois store, and they have a location in New York, which is kinda random, but they have really nice clothes, and in Montreal they had really nice shoes! (However they were on clearance cause they are discontinuing their shoe line.) In Montreal, they didn't have my size, so I was hoping they might have my size here, but they had no shoes at all. Blah. The store we really close to the Empire State Building, and while we were there, we realized the line to go to the top wasn't so long.... so we decided to go up!

It's a strange process getting up there... you have to go through all these random floors, and they look all unfinished and weird. They do have CRAZY elevators that operate by REMOTE CONTROL! It's so weird!

The view from the top was great! I tried to get some good pics, but I don't think they came out as well as I would have liked! It was really windy up there, too! and cold! It was a very fun thing to do, though... I had never been up there before!

After that we searched for a liquor store, and finally found one that was open... ATHENS LIQUORS. There was a crazy lady there with wild gray hair, and there was a homeless guy in there trying to by alc, but was 30 cents short. And it was a really weird store, and really kinda unsettling! Luckily we got our goods and departed!

We went back to the hotel and had a couple of drinks, and then went to dinner at the Dallas Texas BBQ! It was a good meal, but they put us on the lower level where there are only a few tables, and upstairs is huge and crazy! We got good drinks there which came with an extra little tubie thing! I enjoyed it!

Then we were going to go out to a bar, but we decided just to hang out in the hotel, (which had an EXCELLENT view of Times Square, btw!) It was a crazy fun night, and then we went to bed around....3? I think? lol Don't really remember!

So anyway, that was Sunday! Check back later for Monday's excitement! It's all so much to write! Ahhhh!

Adios for now. :)
