"back from providence"

Hey Journal!

Today we got up at about 8:00 and cleaned up our crap from the hotel room, and got our stuff ready to leave. We wanted to take a shower, but we called for more towels and they took FOREVER to bring them, so we went downstairs to have some breakfast in the meantime!

This morning, unlike yesterday, the breakfast room was PACKED! We ate and then headed back up to the room, and with our towels took our showers!

We then departed the hotel and went to Providence to walk around the city some more. We parked in our favorite little national park parking spot, and walked around some more. We did a LOT of walking and it was SOOO freaking hot!! We were in a desperate search for a Dunkin Donuts. We finally found one, and it was closed... so we continued, and found an open one. This one was weird.. it had old pictures on the wall of old donuts and stuff. lol

While we were eating, some very strange man who was sitting at a table on the other side of the room, oh.. and he was dipping his watch in a cup of water.. he came waddling over to us and says to me, "I don't want to disturb you... but I really like your watch!" (My weird Timex watch.) So Dan and I kinda smiled... He said that he "collects watches and t-shirts" and that he loves watches that "have both", and by that he meant digital and analog. LOL He said I have good taste in watches. This has made me re-examine my taste.

After that we walked to the mall, walked around some more, and made it back to the car around 1:30. We stopped for gas and hit the road!

We would have gotten home around 5:45 and LITERALLY have to get right back in the car and go to the volleyball game at Jones, SO we decided to go straight there. We stopped at Burger King in Westbury to get something to eat cause we had some time to kill.

On the way to the beach it was pouring, and there was all thunder, so we decided that the game would most likely be canceled, and turned around and came home! (Lau later informed us that it was NOT canceled!! Grr!) (However the McSpikesters did exceptionally well, so we are back in the game!)

Anyway, we got home, watched TV, took showers, and now it's about time for bed!!
