"happy 4th of july"

Hey Journal!

Happy 4th of July!!!

We got up this morning at about 10:50, and my mom came over with some bagels! She had planned on doing that yesterday and then watching Celebrity Family Feud, the one we had on our Tivo. She hadn't seen that.

Anyway, we consumed and then watched the show... and hung around for a little while.

We then went over to Kristen's house for her family's fun and exciting 4th of July BBQ! Dan and Kristen went in the pool for a while, and I dangled my feet, and we conversed and such.

As they were in the pool we decided to paint our kitchen tomorrow! How exciting! I can't wait, cause that orange isn't really doing it for me!!

We then went to the train station to pick up Don who was on his way back from visiting his Grandmother in the hospital. We clapped as the train approached.

We then went to the supermarket to get some more snack stuff, Daiquiri mix... Oh yeah... I forgot.. before the train, we made frozen strawberry daiquiris, and they were quite amazing!

Kristen purchased a festive 4th of July balloon at Stop and Shop, but unfortunately, somehow, we left without it. :( Sadness.

We got back and shortly after it was time for BBQed goods! We had chicken and steak, and such. It was quite enjoyable!

For dessert, we had some of the wonderful cookies that Dan and I brought from Stop and Shop, and the amazing chocolate strawberry tort that Kristen's grandma made! It really was delicious!

Then we went in search of some fireworks... and did find a few small clusters, but really not that much.

We wound up watching the 'works on the TV with Kristen's mom!

Now we're home and getting ready for bed! Big day of painting tomorrow!!! Woo Hoo!
