"home"

Hey Journal!

Well today certainly was a long day!!

We are FINALLY HOME! Back in our eastern time zone, so I don't have to reference pacific time anymore!

We got up at 2:30am, and departed the hotel at 3:05am! Crazy, I know! We had to drive back to Burbank for our flight since the trip to San Francisco had been a spur of the moment decision.

We made good time, and it took us just under 6 hours. This drive was much less scenic than the first one! When we got back to the airport we checked in the car. We drove about 950 miles!

So, we then checked our bags in at the Jet Blue terminal, and walked to a Denny's which was near the airport, and had breakfast. It was an enjoyable breakfast, and then we went to the airport, went through security, and had a while to wait until it was time to board our plane. While waiting, we people watched for a while, and there were definitely some winners there!

One strange thing about the airport was that the security KEPT making announcements about items that people had just left at security. First it was a laptop, then it was a Lucky Brand watch, then a 1GB Memory card, and it just kept going. Every few minutes, they had something else lost!

Anyway, this airport was a little ghetto, they didn't have those things that come out and connect you to the door of the plane, we had to go out and walk up a big stairway!

I had never been on Jet Blue before, and it was pretty good. I like Southwest where you pick your seat as you board, and I also like SW's snacks better, but this wasn't bad, and I really enjoyed watching TV!! We watched some show on NatGeo about a Prison, and a show about Las Vegas, and then X-MEN2 on FX. I also watched a lot of Jurassic Park which was on the SciFi Channel.

The flight was good, and went fast because of the TV. My only complaint would have to be the volume at which the TV is interrupted when the captain and crew make announcements. It BLASTS in your ears regardless of the volume you have the TV set on.

Anyway, Mike picked us up from the airport, and took us home!

It was nice to finally be home. I was ready for a night in my own bed, and to take a shower in my own shower, and all of that. It's a little sad that it's all over, and that it went so fast... but in a way it feels like it lasted forever... so I had a great time, and I am happy to have a day off from work tomorrow to relax and get back into the swing of things!

Tonight Dan and I watched The Closer and Greek which were recorded while we were away, and it's time for bed! We've been up since 3:30am PDT, and I neeeeed sleep!

Goodnight. :)
