"mario kart wii" or "last entry of 08"

Hey Journal!

Today I took off from work, and had a nice relaxing time around the house!

I got up around 10:00, and watched some TV, played some Wii, and then went to Maureen's Kitchen for Breakfast. Dan wanted to see if his mom wanted to come with us, but when he called her, he discovered that she was already there!

We went and had breakfast, and then after that, went to the mall to just walk around a little.

Then we went over to Price Club to get Mario Kart Wii. In Best Buy and Target, it was 49.99 for just the came, and then you had to buy the wheel separately... but at Price Club, we saw that it was 43.99, and it came with a wheel! So, we went there, and they had no more left!!! The day before there were a whole bunch, and now, nothing. So, we went to the merchandise pickup, and the lady said that there was one left, and so she gave us the #, and we bought it! :) Woo Hoo!

We went to the grocery store to buy supplies for making "Another Chicken Pot Pie"! We were making it for dinner tonight for Dan's mom and dad. We made two, so we would have some extra! We got all the ingredients, and then headed home.

We got home and played Mario Kart a little, then started cooking. The two pot pies turned out great! :) The best recipe for a pot pie! I'm so glad we found it that night long ago with Re and Lauren!

Our oven had some dried on stuff on the bottom from a previous use, and it started to smoke like crazy! The whole place was full of smoke, but there was nothing we could do except open the windows and try to let it out!!

So, when they arrived, we played Guitar Hero for a while, and everyone liked that... then we had dinner, and dessert, and it was quite enjoyable.

Then after that, Dan and I played Mario Kart with JRo over the Wii! It was lots of fun! After a few races, we decided to call each other and leave the speakerphone on, so that we could communicate while we raced! Wii needs one of those Mic things like Xbox!

So, now we're just getting ready for bed! Tomorrow is New Year's Eve!! So insane! I can't believe it already! BUT... we got together some plans and we're going to visit Jimmy! So, now, for the first time in forever, we actually have something to do! :)

Better get to sleep now! This will be the last entry of 2008! How crazy!
