"idol foolishness"

Hey Journal!

This morning I got up and headed off to work. There was surprisingly NO TRAFFIC AT ALL! But I guess that's because a lot of schools are off this week, which means a happy commute for me! :)

Work was busy today, a ton of stuff going on. Karen was back and we worked on making new postcards for Colonial and for CPC, and on a ton of new stuff.

I went to the printer to pick up the reply mail postcards that are finally ready for pickup! It has been forever... first it took forever to get the Post Office stuff, then the printer lady said her printing press was broken! Just one ridiculous thing after the other!

I got back and had lunch with Karen. I went to get my food, and noticed that we both had ordered the same exact thing! How weird of us! So, I went and brought it to her, and we had a little lunch party.

I got home and we went over to Dan's parents' for dinner! We had roast pork.. It was really good. :)

After dinner we came home and got ready to watch idol. We started it late, but finished on time because not only did we fast forward the commercials, but also some of the really bad singers.

Today's Idol was really stupid. First off, the show was just bad, there were so many mistakes and annoying things. I hated how Ryan would interview the parents after each singer, and then they would get interrupted once the person got there... it was so disjointed. And the big problem is that this method of picking the top 12 is so stupid. First, some of these people we have barely seen so far, so we don't feel like we know them, and we had that ONE night to pick our favorite three?

Second, we get 3 people from each group... And the groups were created randomly? What if the best 12 randomly got put into the same group! That makes no sense!

It worked before because the really bad people went home, and those who you were still undecided about got a chance to stick around, and you get to know them, and they can improve..or not.. but this way, we don't get that chance. It's just really stupid.

After that, we got ready for bed... and then watched What Would You Do? They had a few funny segments on today... I loved the one with the old man. "What did I do?" after he hit the motorcycle! So weird.

Anyway, now it's time for bed!
