"embarkation"

Hey Journal!

This morning we got up at about 9:30. We missed the continental breakfast at the hotel, which ended at 9, although I'm not so sure that was a bad thing... I dunno what it would have been like at "Holiday".

We got up, and got ready, and then walked across the street to the Dunkin Donuts to get something to eat.

We got back and gathered our belongings, and then took a taxi to the Port of Miami. We arrived, and checked in, and then we boarded the ship!! YAY!

We had to wait until 1:30 to get into our room, so we ate lunch, and then took a walk around, sat in the main lobby and watched people get on, and just hung around. There was a wild woman sitting alone in the lobby the whole time we were there and she had an oxygen tank, and her eye kept twitching. She was like 90. We wanted to be her friend.

Anyway, we got into our room but the luggage hadn't arrived. We walked around, tried to get familiar with the ship, and then went to the Spa to enter the Spa raffle. We then took a tour of the Spa, and on the tour, Dan got a 5 minute hot stone massage as part of a demo! haha.

We then wandered around some more, came back to our room, and then finally our luggage had arrived. Our "Sprite" had also made it to the room, so we got some drinks from the restaurant and mixed them. :)

Then it was time to set sail! We went out to the deck, and watched as we started to go! It's so warm and amazing. I love it. :)

Actually, this morning, as we were crossing the road before breakfast, it was sooooo nice and warm... the perfect day. I wish it was like that by us all the time. Guess we have to move to Miami.

Anyway, we went to the Spa raffle, but didn't win. Then we came back to the room, took a shower, and got ready for dinner.

We have the 8:15 dinner, and we were seated with two girls, both from Florida, named Brittany and Jen. They were nice, but kinda quiet... but so were we. Perhaps as the week goes on, we will get to know them. They were nice.

Dinner were good, our waiter was a little weird, but he seems like he could be friendly.

After dinner we amde the rounds again, made outselves some drinks, and went to Karaoke. Now, the lady who does this Karaoke is no Marina from the Miracle. Marina was something else. I hope to one day meet her again. lol

Anyway, we walked around the ship some more, went to the show, walked around (lots of that going on.... my feet are killing me now!) Then we parked it outside of the club, "Hot and Cool" and watched all the skanky people going in. It was some major people watching gold.

We already have some nicknames. The Jonas Brothers, James Lipton, Judy Dench, Hillary Clinton, Bump, Keem and Bruised Boy (a package... they were staying at the same hotel as us... they checked in right after us last night.), Muster Station, John Gotti,...and more, but I can't remember them now! I love how we form random names for everyone.

So now it's about 1:40, and time for sleep! Just ordered tomorrow's breakfast!

Tomorrow is a "Fun Day at Sea"! Woo Hoo!!!

Goodnight. :)
