"i'm on a boat" or "big table at cheesecake"

Yo Journal!

We got up this morning at 10:30, and hung around, watched some TV, and then went out to the Hauppauge Palace Diner for breakfast.

On the way out of the diner, this little old man, who looked like a skinny version of my grandpa, cut me off as I was walking out the door... and then he turned around, and I thought he was going to apologize or something... and he says....

"Get outta the way of those fat women! They're gonna run you over!" Now, I had not seen any fat women... but I just looked at him.. and he continued... "Don't they have full-length mirrors at home?!"

Is swear, I thought I was on like "What would you do?" I expected to see John Quinones pop out from the bushes or something. Then he says, "No wonder Jay Leno says the whole country is obese!....-pause-.. NO.. He says they're fat asses!"

So as we walked away to our car, he says, "Go get yourself some bikini girls!" And he got into his pickup truck and rode off.

Wild.

So, after that we went to Cablevision in Hauppauge to drop off our old Cable box that we never used.

We didn't want to go home because it was so nice out... so we went to this little park in Smithtown that I have never been to. It's on 347, and has a weird dirt parking lot. We walked in and there are all these little bridges around a little pond. It's kinda strange. We walked around the pond, and there was a little area with bathroom and picnic tables that looked abandoned. Then we got to one bridge, and a tree had fallen on it, and broken it, but we made out way over, and directly on the other side was a muddy area. There were all branches in it, so Dan tried to walk over it... NOT a good idea!

He started sinking in, and got mud all over his foot and his leg! Luckily he had flip flops on! When we got home, we had to get out the hose and wash his legs off!

Then Dan went golfing with his Dad at about 3:00, and Re and Brad came, and picked me up, and went to Lowe's to look at appliances.

Before that, we drove down to see their new house! We just drove by and took a look from the street!

Then we checked out the wide selection of washers, dryers, stoves, and refrigerators at Lowes... and then took a spin through the bathroom section just for fun!

Since we couldn't reach Dan, we decided to head up to the golf course, and hopefully catch him at the end of his round. We passed him on the street, and he finally called us... but unfortunately couldn't come with us to Brad's boat.

He went to visit his Dziadzi, and we went down to the boat. Brad and Re gave me the tour, and then Brad was loading some new stuff onto his GPS, and we figured out how to view the maps in 3D!

Then we went down and hung out inside, and watched some TV. We watched Jeopardy and Wheel!

We didn't actually go out on the boat, but hopefully we can sometime this summer!

We headed back and picked up Dan and went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. We got seated at the LARGEST table in the restaurant. It was a round table that seats like 8 or 10 people, and we were like... WHERE DO WE SIT!? It was so random. The hostess was like, "You guys get the biggest table in the restaurant!" It was so random, but funny!

We just got home a little while ago, and I don't feel like sitting around and doing nothing tonight... perhaps we'll go out somewhere!
