"michael jackson is dead" or "farrah faucett is dead""

Hey Journal!

This morning I got up at regular time and headed off to work. Steve was in today... but Pete was playing in a tournament. I had Cocoa Puffs for breakfast, and then had a a snack of corn chowder soup for lunch. It was good, except I had to keep trying to pick out the peppers. I hate that they make the soups with peppers now... it's so freaking annoying.

Anyway, I had a lot of random stuff to do today, got started on some stuff that needed to get finished before Steve goes away on vacation, and stuff.

For lunch I had chicken parm. I got home at 5:30ish and watched the news. They had breaking news that Michael Jackson had to be rushed to the hospital because his heart had stopped! They kept interrupting the weather reports with more breaking news, and then all hell broke loose when they announced that he died!!

They didn't want to commit to anything, so they all kept saying that "The LA Times is reporting that Michael Jackson is DEAD." First off, that was funny... they kept saying "Michael Jackson IS DEAD" Who says that!? Don't they usually say like, "has died" or "passed away" or something less blunt!

Anyway, World News was crazy, they started with "Michael Jackson, the king of pop, is DEAD. Farrah Faucett is DEAD." What a day! Yeah, and poor Farrah, she totally had her thunders stolen by MJ. She was going to be the big deal news story, and then he totally moved in on her moment. They barely spoke about her.

20/20 was planning to do a special on her tonight, but the they had to throw one together for Michael fast! They did him at 9, and her at 10. It was called, "The Life and Death of Michael Jackson."

But I guess Farrah had her moment already, with that crazy TV show a few weeks ago, and it wasn't unexpected since she had been sick for so long, and everyone knew it.

But away, Dan got home and we watched the news,I ate leftover spaghetti for dinner, and then we watched an episode of Six Feet Under, another episode of the Closer, and now it's time for bed!

Tomorrow's Friday!

Woo Hoo!

Goodnight. :)
