"up" or "mamamac's new laptop"

Hey Journal!

What a rainy Saturday! It basically rained all day long! At first they said it was gonna be snow.. I guess if it had been just a little colder we woulda had a crazy day of snow.

So, when we woke up, we watched some TV, and hung around the house for a little while, and then at about 1:30, we went over to Re's house to help set up her mom's new laptop that they bought on Black Friday!

First I started by setting everything up, and installed FireFox, and Acrobat, and Flash, and all those random things you need but don't actually come with your computer. That took about an hour or so to get all done, and we had brownies, and hung out in between all of the installing. We showed Mamamac how to get online, and how to check her e-mail, and to bookmark things!

Then I hooked up the new "All-In-One" printer they got for just $5! It's wireless, so they can all print to it, without it having to be connected to any computer, or having to have the main computer turned on, which everyone was very happy about. I set up the printer on the new laptop, on Re's computer, and on Erin's!

We had a fun time, it was a rainy day out, so it was like our own little rainy day party. Re went to pick Erin up from work, and when she came home we continued our weirdness. We played with the webcam, and showed Mamamac how to video conference with her fam in the kitchen!

In the afternoon, we had planned on going to the EAB / Reckson Tree Lighting in Nassau with Scott. We were all geared up for it, and I has looked up the website, and saw that ASHANTI was going to perform... so Dan checked out the website today and discovered that the website was from LAST YEAR!!! INSANE! They still have their old site up, and apparently they aren't having the usual tree lighting this year, and so the old website is just there gathering dust. In all fairness, it did say 2008 in big letters, but I missed that! Woops!

So, instead of that, we went to Chili's for dinner. I got the Chicken Crispers.

After that, we went to the mall, walked around a couple of time, and then went to 7-11. I got 2 donuts! Then we came back and watched the movie Up! I had never seen it before, but I heard it was good... and in Disney Dan and I got our pictures with the characters from it. WOW! What a crazy movie. It's so not a typical Disney movie, but at the same time, it's as great as any Disney movie! I LOVED IT. The beginning was so sad... i hate to admit.. I almost cried! It was soooo sad! Then the rest of the movie was random and weird! The bird, the talking dogs... so odd! Then when he looks at the photo album again at the end, SO SAD!!! It's totally one of my favs now!

When we were in Disney World, we were looking for some Up merchandise, and they had TONS of Up! posters, and stuff about the DVD release date, but NOTHING for sale! We even asked a man at a store, and he said they used to have stuff, but they got rid of it all! So weird! It's so sad that they don't sell that! Why are they trying to brush this movie under the rug! :(

Anyway, after the movie, we brought Scott back home, and now we're back, and gotta get to bed soon because BREAKFAST and LUNCH with Santa is tomorrow! Should be a crazy day of taking pictures of the young'ins with the jolly old man!
