"all you can eat pancakes"

Hey Journal!

This morning, we got up around 11 and watched Ugly Betty from this week. Good episode. Then we watched Heroes. I was very very very happy that George Takei made an appearance! They need to find a way to write him back into the show on a regular basis! Kaito Nakamura forever.

Then we went to the storage place with Dan's dad to take some pictures for more eBay stuff. We picked up Dan's brother from work on the way.

After that, we went to the mall, and just walked around, and then to Century 21 in Westbury. It was kinda a disappointing trip. It's very hit or miss with that place. I wanted to find some nice clothes for our cruise, but unfortunately, I did not.

On the way home, we took an alternate route because we noticed LOTS of traffic in the opposite direction on the way there. As we approached the expressway, we smelled a super strong smell of GAS! It was insane! They had the expressway blocked, so we went further north onto the Northern State. We actually managed to avoid all of the traffic... but we investigated the cause of all this craziness on my handy little WABC Eyewitness News iPhone App! There was a crazy accident this morning with a gasoline tanker truck, and it crashed and burst in to flames, and melted the metal structure that held up a sign, and it crashed down, and then the gas and other stuff went into a sump, causing all kinds of environmental problems! Crazy!

We went for dinner at iHop. It was a very nice time. We sat in the "other" room. We got the "All you can eat pancakes" meal, because it was $6.49, and it came with hash browns, 2 eggs, 2 sausage, and of course, unlimited pancakes! My old favorite, the 2x2x2 came with 2 eggs, 2 sausage, and 2 pancakes... and was 6.79!!! Makes no sense! Here you get hash browns, AND extra pancakes for LESS money! We checked out the menu, and it was also a better deal than the short stack of pancakes, which was about a dollar more than the "all you can eat" meal!

We got home, and hung around...watched some TV, and just relaxed on this crazy Saturday night.

Now it's about time for bed!

Goodnight. :)
