"brunch with re" or "dan's mom's birthday dinner"

Buenos Dias!

This morning I got up around 10:00, and Dan slept until about 11. When I got up, I started watching 30 Rock on the Wii! I am so amazed by the superiority of Netflix on Wii as opposed to Netflix on Tivo! It's a million bazillion times more reliable! The only thing I don't like is having to change the input on the TV, but it's well worth for the quality.

When Dan got up, he watched an episode with me, and then went out for his walk. We had plans to go for brunch with Re, but she needed some time to get ready, and Dan wanted to go on his walk, so it worked out perfectly.

At 12:45, Re came over and we went out to breakfast at Maureen's Kitchen. We had a nice breakfast. I got chocolate chip pancakes. They were good, but a little bit of chocolate overload!

After that, we all went with my mom to this place in St. James that buys gold jewelery. She had this old chain that she wanted to sell because it had gotten all knotted up. It turned out that we probably didn't even have to go there with her... and the guy said it was only worth about $16. So, she wound up not selling it, and will probably try to get it fixed. The guy said it should be fixable at a jeweler.

We went to the mall, and then went to TCBY for Dan to get some yogurt. Then we swung over to Best Buy so that Dan could get some earphones, or "speakers," to use on his walks.

When we got home, Kristen departed, and we watched a few more episodes of 30 Rock.

At 7:30, we went to dinner for Dan's mom's birthday to an Italian restaurant in Northport. We had a nice dinner, and we sang Happy Birthday, and all! It's a "family style" place, and two of the dishes we got, which I had, were the Baked Ziti, and Chicken Parmesan.

We actually gave Re's number to our waiter! We thought he would be a perfect match! Dan's mom asked him if he was single, and he said yes. We told him to text her. haha! He probably won't, but it was worth a try. :(

And now, here we are, back at home. Dan is watching a Met's game that's now into it's 20th inning. A little crazy if you ask me!
