"funky price club chicken"

Hey Journal!

This morning we got up around 9:00 and watched some 30 Rock on the Wii! Still amazed by the quality of Netflix on the Wii! It makes me smile!

We wanted to go out to breakfast, but that never really materialized into anything....so we watched some TV and then started looking up hotel for our trip to Paris! We think we found one, and tried to book it, but it's some kind of ridiculous system where it sends the hotel and e-mail, and then they get back to you telling you if they were able to book your reservation or not! Sheesh... get with it, people!

We asked Re what she was up to, but she was up visiting Lauren, so we went out to the mall and and walked around, and on out way home, we decided for lunch/dinner, we should get a chicken from Price Club. We got home and watched some more of Mary Poppins (that we recorded on Easter Sunday) and ate!

The thing about that chicken.. it's a great deal, and it tastes good.. but there something a little funky about it. Yes, Funky Chicken! It's actually that it's really watery. And not juicy. It's one thing to bite into meat and it has juice in it, but when you eat this chicken...WATER comes out... like.. way too much water.... and the chicken is sorta mushy.

If they could fix that, it would be perfect.

Then we went out, and stopped at Dan's parent's house for his weekly weigh-in. He went down the basement and went on the scale, and.....drum roll.... so far he has lost 15 lbs!

Then we went Target and stocked up on goods. It's been a while since I was at Target, and even longer since we REALLY stocked up.. so we went all out. Our total at the register came to $75 even, which I thought was quite random. How hard is it to get an even number after tax and all! Like, if we had bought one less item... or a different brand, or anything... it would have thrown it off.

We needed dish washing detergent, and we were looking at two bottles of Palmolive, and they were the same exact scent, and everything... and they were on the SALE rack, one was double the size of the other, and they were BOTH $2.99. Now, why would anyone buy the smaller one?? And how does that make any sense at all!?? Oh well, we got the bigger one. :)

When we got home, I took a shower, and we hung around, watched some TV. We watched Desperate Housewives, and now it's time for bed! Back to work tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
