"bienvenue a paris" or "night bike tour"

12:46am GMT+1, 6:46am EST

Hey Journal!

Today we got up bright an early. Well... actually.. it was early, 5:45am, but not so bright. It was the most overcast morning so far. The temperature had also fallen quite a bit, but we were headed for Paris!

I took a shower, and we finished packing. We got our stuff together, and then bid farewell to London. We made our way down to the bus station, and found out that our Oyster Cards were still valid! We were quite surprised, but it was good because we didn't have to put out any more money!

We to King's Cross Station, and we looked for the platform from Harry Potter! 9 3/4! We found the location where they shot the movie, and they do have signs up that say 9 3/4! I think they were filming some sort of movie there today! They had a really old train there, and old luggage.. and people whose jackets said something about movie security.

We then made our way to St. Pancras station. (Pronounced 'Sin Pancris')! We picked up our EuroStar tickets and then headed to the train!

The train reminded me a lot of the train to Disney World I took with my Grandma in like 1998! The ride was about two hours long, and went by pretty fast!

Before I knew it, we were in Paris! We got on the Metro, and used the tickets that Nicole had sent me to get from the station to our Hotel. Our room wasn't ready yet, so we left our luggage, and went out to explore the city. We went to the Louvre, and went inside and got tickets.

We saw the Mona Lisa, and the Venus de Milo, which were pretty cool. We also so a lot of other random paintings and statues.

I have to admit, art is not my thing. I find it insanely boring. I feel like, what's the difference between some painting hanging in a museum, and one that's not. I dunno.

After that, we were hungry, and couldn't find anywhere to eat... so we went for McDonald's. They have an alternative to fries, here, which is potato wedges. They were pretty good.

We came back to the hotel and got our room. Number 614. It's a small room, but that's how things are in Paris. It's good for us, I don't need anything too crazy... and it has free WiFi, so I can get online! Woo Hoo!

We got ready, and headed off to the Eiffel Tower! We took pics of it, and then at 7:00, met at the south leg of the tower for the "Night Bike Tour!" Nicole had recommended it to me, and we were hoping it wouldn't rain. Luckily, it did not!

We took a walk back to the office of the tour place, and got set up on bikes. Our tour guide was Tim. We started off riding down past the Eiffel Tower, and then made our way to Notre Dame, and really saw lots of cool stuff! I love taking bike tours!

Then we rode down to the river, and got on a boat which took a little cruise around! We saw the Eiffel Tower light up and sparkle at 10 and 11! It was really nice!

Afterwards, we were kinda hungry, so we went for Crepes! Then we took the Metro back to the hotel, and now it's time for sleep!

No real plans tomorrow... perhaps just seeing the sights!

Goodnight. :)
