"mohegan sun" or "fire and ice and back"

Hey Journal!

Well, today turned out quite differently than we had planned... but not in a bad way... just different. Out plan last night was to get up early and drive to Vermont. Dan had wanted to go to Burlington, and so we were going to head that way.

When we woke up this morning.... we looked up some directions, and the six hour drive just didn't seem as appealing as it had in the middle of the week. We still wanted to get away, and go somewhere... but figured maybe we should save Vermont for when we have more than just a two day weekend.

We started driving, and went up towards Connecticut. We made our first stop at Mohegan Sun casino! We had never been there before... and it was actually really nice. I liked the casinos and the theming of the place. We spent a little time there, and played the slots... but unfortunately we did not win. We were down $20.

After departing the casino, we decided to drive a little further, to Providence, to go to our favorite Fire and Ice for lunch! It was great going for lunch because the prices were so much lower... and you get the same thing! We were so hungry. I think ate the most I ever have there. I only made two trips, but I loaded it up each time! It was most enjoyable!!

After lunch, we walked around the mall, and then took a drive around Providence, and our plan was to find something to do at night, and find somewhere to stay. However, after that... we were just like... let's go home! So we did.

I know, it was a really crazy day, but we figured we got away for the day, did some fun stuff... and we were ready to come back!

We got home, I took a shower, and we watched some episodes of Dr. Who! Now it's time for bed! It's been a long day, and a full one!
