"the fair"

Hey Journal!

This morning I got up around 10:30, but Dan continued to sleep for a while longer. I watched TV, and went online, and did random stuff. Finally, around 12, Dan got up, and we got ready and went out to lunch at Boston Market.

We went to the one in Ronkonkoma. I saw on TV they have a special where the 1/4 chicken meal, usually 7-something, is only $4.99 until some random date in July. I figured we should take advantage of this. We had a nice lunch, but then this large woman came in and after ordering her food, decided that she was going to scratch her butt crack on the corner of the booth, and she literally had it stuck up her crack. It was so gross... of course, I took a picture.

After that, we went to the mall, and then picked up Kristen. We went to Tropical Smoothie, because she was craving a Blimey Limey without the lime! At first, it was not made the perfection, but she sent it back, and it was much better the second time. We walked around the "mall" area there for a little bit, and then headed out.

We were leaving around 5 for Jen B's Birthday get-together at the Nassau Coliseum Fair, but first we stopped at the store. We actually went to Home Depot, Best Buy, and then Target.

We got to the fair around 5:45, and Robby pulled in shortly after, 5:55. We hung out in the car waiting for Jen B and the others. We decided we were getting hungry, so we walked across the street (Hempstead Turnpike... NOT The Meadowbrook!) to get to Chipotle. We ate, and then headed back across.

Jen B had arrived at about 6:30, and we met up with them inside. We walked around the carnival... took in the atmosphere, and waited for the fireworks to happen, around 9:30.

We got some seats, and sat near where the fireworks were to go off. We actually saw three different shows, but the other two were pretty far away. Finally at about 10:00, they did the ones for the fair. They were good... nothing spectacular... but it was still fun!

After that, we departed and headed home... We were pretty tired!

Now we're just getting ready for bed... tomorrow is the 4th of July! Yay!! (Not that we really have any plans...) We're going to start the day with a 4th of July breakfast at IHOP with my mom, and then take it from there! (When I first wrote IHOP, I wrote it iHop, as in the way Apple product names are written.... Hmmm.... Apple should make a device to make pancakes for you and call it the iHop... or a Mexican jumping bean with an apple logo on it. iHop.)

Okay... bed now...

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
