"mac and cheese from heaven"

Hey Journal!

I got up this morning a little after ten, and watched some TV while I waited for Dan to get up. I watched some random stuff, and then when Dan got up, we watched an episode of Dr. Who.

A little later we went out to the mall, and to go to Price Club. We had some things we were running low on, so we decided to go stock up. We took a walk around the mall first, and as we made our way down by the food court, we noticed some people in bright blue shirts with Mac & Cheese smiles on them handing out some free goodies!

They were giving out the new Kraft "Homestyle" Macaroni and Cheese dinners! They are basically the Mac & Cheese we know and love with a little more to it for the more "sophisticated" audience. They were also giving out pot holders! And they weren't stingy! They just kept giving and giving! We saw people all over the mall carrying handfulls of Mac & Cheese, and all in all, when we got back to the car, we had 14 packages of Mac & Cheese, and 5 pot holders! Insanity!

I looked them up online, and apparently they sell for about $2.99 a bag! And they're not trial size, either!

After the mall, we went to Price Club, got our goods... paper towels, water, napkins, milk... and then headed over to say hi to my Uncle and to have some lunch. What was for lunch? Well, my Grandma had ALSO gotten some free samples, so we figured we'd try it out! The process of making this kind is very different from the old box kind. After you boil the Macaroni, you have to "make" the sauce using the butter, milk, and "seasoning packet." Then you mix in a bag full of goopy cheese... much different than the powdered variety. Once you've made this concoction, you put the macaroni back in, and voila! It's complete! (Well... not really...) You sprinkle some bread crumb from the "bread crumb packet" on top!

It came out really good. Now... I love regular Kraft Mac & Cheese.... who doesn't!? But this the next level. It was more filling, and definitely tasted great. I still love both... It'll take a while to use all of our freebies! :)

We hung out my the triplets for a while, and were there until about 5:00. We came home, and watched a few more episodes of the doctor! It was crazy... the end of season 2! And we had to say goodbye to Rose! How sad! :( I will miss Rose Tyler! I guess that's it for Jackie, too... and Mickey/Rickey!

We watched the first episode of Season 3, and it was interesting, but again.. will take some getting used to! I am happy though, it SEEMS that this season may be in HD! One can only hope.

I took a shower, and got ready for bed... and now I'm just preparing. Tomorrow's Monday already! Another weekend come and gone!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
