"holiday party"

Hey Journal!

Well, we just got home from Dan's work Christmas party!

The day started off with work. Nothing exciting going on, though. We attempted today's "moderate" Sudoku and much to our surprise, it was RIDICULOUSLY easy! There must have been an error, because this was easier than ANY easy puzzle I've ever done! Steve said the same thing!

Dan's dad wanted to go outside and take some more pictures of the tree cutting, but I didn't bring my camera, and also wasn't dressed appropriately! So, I passed on that! We're going to do it tomorrow, instead!

The day went by very fast, and for lunch today I had grilled chicken on a seedless roll with melted mozzarella cheese! :P It was really good. I'm glad I invented this new sandwich! (Although everyone at work says I did not invent it.)

Lauren came by to visit again today! That was a pleasant surprise!

I departed at five, and headed home. We had to get ready quickly for Dan's party! We changed, and off we went. It was at the Jericho Terrace this year. As far as the place goes, it was nice inside, but I had two main complaints. #1) Valet parking. REALLY? I think I am capable of parking my own car, but if you're going to OFFER it, don't make it MANDATORY! I mean, give people a choice. It's ridiculous!

Then, they had the always hated bathroom attendant. Like I need some guy to hand me a paper towel. That's why God invented DISPENSERS! Especially those fancy ones you just WAVE your hands in front of...rendering that job completely pointless.

The dinner was kinda of haphazard, the "program" said there would be a cocktail hour with appetizers, and then a dinner, but it was all mushed into one, and didn't feel like a real dinner.

This year, they had something new... a casino section where you got fake money, and could play roulette, blackjack, or craps. It was fun! I thought it was a good thing becuase it really broke up the night. If not for that, I have no idea what we would have done the whole time.

The room where the "casino" was smelled like the amazing bacon smell in Spaceship Earth in Epcot.... the scene with the burning of the library at Alaxendria. It brought back wonderful memories!

Our dealer for Blackjack was crazy! Uncle Joe, he was called. He kept giving us extra chips, and peeking at his cards and throwing them out when they were good! It was so wild. He was crazy, but it was a lot of fun!

Then they had the raffles, and the people who won the most in the casino got prized. not surprisingly, all the people who were at OUR casino table won all the prizes!!

We got a movie gift pack with lots of different candies, and movie tickets.

We left a little after 10, just got home, and now it's time for bed!!!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
