"orthodontist checkup" or "late night nuggs"

Hey Journal!

This morning I got up around 10:15 because I had an orthodontist appointment at 11:15. I got ready, and dressed, and then we headed out there. It went well, he took a look at my retainer, and I showed him where it was cracked. The crack in the upper one has been there for at least six months, and the one on the lower set just appeared the other day! I don't really know how it happened... I'm always very careful with them, but I guess since they're over a year old, they just start to wear.

He said, just the be safe, that they would make me new ones! YAY! :) So now I get a brand new retainer. They took the molds for it, and she had to do the top one twice. Gotta love the pink goo stuff! It was crusted all over my face when I left!

I have to go back next Friday to pick it up.

After that, we wanted bagels and stopped at a place we passed by. It was in the shopping center next to Kohl's out there, and it was very crazy. It had a lot of PINK signs, and looked like nothing had been updated since the 70s! It was cool though... they had little booths to sit in, and even had a Foursquare special for a free coffee upgrade which Dan took advantage of!

Then we went to the bank to deposit my paycheck, and then to Price Club to get some goods. We got soap, and shampoo, and razors, and water!

After that, we went to walk around the mall.

Next, we went to Dan's parents' house and checked out the progress of their renovation. The painting is done, and they're going to start working on the fireplace this week! Dan's dad gave us some items to post on eBay, and we played Wii Bowling with Dan's brother!

Then we came home, rested, and watched some TV. We watched last night's episode of What Would You Do? and then I took a shower. We went online, and FaceTime-ed with Frank for a while, and then went out to get some food.

We were feeling like we were in the mood for Burger King, and it was about 11:40. We pulled up at the drive-up, but noone was answering. We drove up to the window, but noone was there either. There was one car in front of us, and two cars behind us, and everyone was very confused. All of the signs, BIG SIGNS, said that it was open until 12:00am. So, we drove around the front, and saw people inside, but they were not interested in helping us. So Dan CALLED the restaurant, and the woman answered. He asked what time they were open until, and she said, "Eleven-Something." He pointed out that the signs said they were open until 12:00, but she said that wasn't true. Dan asked for her name, and then told her he would speak to the manager tomorrow. Crazy woman... I hope she thinks she's gonna be in trouble!

Instead, we went to Wendy's, which not only claimed to be open, but actually was open, and got a baked potato and some nuggs.

We ate our food and watched another episode of Dr. Who, and now it's time for bed!

Tomorrow, I have to go to the city to visit a church with Karen. Fun times!
