"one day of spring"

Hey Journal!

Happy Friday!!! Work today went by pretty fast. Dan's dad was back from his mini vacation, and I spent most of the day working on the new Timeclock program I'm making.

For lunch, I had grilled chicken with broccoli... the return of an old favorite!

Today was an absolutely beautiful day outside! The weather was AMAZING! It felt like Spring, and was so warm out! Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience it much, but the few minutes I did, it was pretty nice. Sadly, by the evening, it was getting colder and colder, and it's supposed to be frigid over the weekend.

I departed at 5, and headed home, and surprisingly, there was no traffic on the expressway. I watched the news, and then went to the bank to deposit a check.

At 7:00, we went over to Kristen and Don's and picked them up to go out to dinner. We went to Smokin' Al's in Massapequa. When we arrived, they said it would be an hour wait. I was starving, so that was horrible news, but we decided to wait, and while we waited, we walked down the street, and around the residential neighborhood behind the restaurant. We were gone for about 25 minutes, and when we arrived, the host said that they had already called our name! It was a pleasant surprise, but still very odd! I mean, you'd think you'd be save coming back 30 minutes EARLY from the time the told you... that's quite a misjudgement! Also, they seem to be very hit or miss on Friday nights. Sometimes you go and there's noone there, and sometimes the wait is forever.

So, we had a fun and enjoyable dinner, and afterwards we made our way back home with a bit of a scenic drive around. There were two different cars we passed, one whose occupants nodded at Dan, and when he nodded back, they cursed at him... and the second a guy and a girl who were staring at us like crazy, and then started dancing. It was a weird night!

We stopped at Waldbaum's for Kristen and Don to get a pepper for Melville, and then we dropped them back off at home!

We returned and watched some TV. We finished watching this week's Bieber episode of Glee, and now it's time for bed!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
