March 05, 2011 - 11:46 p.m.
"warm day walk" or "pedro and simone"

Hey Journal!

This morning, Dan and I got up around 10:30 and watched Skins! Dan went to the gym, and I had some leftover PFR for breakfast. (Basically the best breakfast one could have!)

In the mail this morning, we got our information for our mini Disney trip in the end of March! Woo Hoo! This time we're going to try out a new hotel.... Port Orleans Riverside, which is a random one, but it's always nice to try a new hotel we haven't stayed in!

After Dan got back and took a shower, we decided to go for a walk at the Golf Course. I actually wanted to go up there and check out the progress on the new carpet, and take some pictures, and then Dan said it was a beautiful day out and wanted to go for a walk. Lau met us here, and we all went up there.

When we got up there, we went inside and checked out the carpet. They had basically ripped up all of the old carpet in the restaurant, and were working on the locker rooms. I snapped some shots to document the work, and then we went outside for our walk. We walked down by the pines, and as we did we found a ton of golf balls in the hills next to the driving range, so we started picking them out and throwing them back over the hill! :P

We continued walking, and walked around the 7 Pines, and crossed over to the Valley... walked around over there, and then back by 1 Valley, and went in to the kitchen to wash our hands.

When we got back home, Lau deaprted, and Dan and I came in and watched more Skins. Then I took a shower, and we got ready for dinner. At 6:00, we picked up Liz, and went out in search of food. We weren't really sure where we wanted to go, but we wound up at the Sonoma grill in Sayville. We thought it was a pretty good idea, and they said the wait was about 30 minutes, and so we decided to stay. We figured that by the time we got anywhere else, it would be about that long anyway. So it wound up being more like 45 minutes, and then when they finally sat us, they sat us in the WORST possible table. First, it was the bar area, so it wasn't as nice as the actual restaurant. Then, we were right along the bar, so there were people passing us and talking and bumping into us.... and THEN they started this AWFUL singing... Pedro and Simone... Oh my gosh! They had the worst voices ever... and we were SOOO close to them, we couldn't even hear eachother.

SO... We started to talk about leaving... and then the waitress came over. Dan told her, "We need a minute to talk." and we decided to run for it! What a waste of a 45 minute wait! But we left, and then decided to go to Ruby Tuesday. We went across the street, but then as we were about to go inside, I figured if we were going to go to Ruby's, we should go visit Bernie... so we got BACK in the car, and off we went to Deer Park.

It turned out well! We got there, and I had called ahead, so we were the next table available. We had a nice dinner, and it was fun times. We conversed with Bernie, and it was a fun time.

After dinner, we hurried over to Home Depot because I wanted to get some wire track stuff for work. I thought they closed at 10, so we hurried over after dinner at 9:45, but it turned out that they have NEW store hours, and are open until 11 on Saturdays now! Woo. So we got the goods, and then walked around a little.

We dropped Liz off around 10:30, and got home a little after that. We watched a little TV, but I'm exhausted now, and it's time for sleep! Tomorrow, we're going to go to the movies to see Rango with Liz and Bernie. Should be fun!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
