"lotus feast" or "cesspool rings"

Hey Journal!

Work today went by pretty quickly, and it was a really random Friday. In the morning, we went outside to watch a big hole being dug for a new cesspool ring which will be used to control the level of the lake next winter. It was crazy deep, and as they dug down, they hit an old road which used to be used to get trucks in and out of the lake when it was being built. I took pictures of all the steps along the way. It was pretty cool.

In the afternoon, they delivered a new dumpster for the carpet installation which will start tomorrow!

For lunch, I had some grilled chicken and broccoli. Then, towards the end of the day, we started moving the furniture out of the restaurant to make way for the new carpet! They needed all of the areas clear, so it was a big job. Jackie and Linda loaded the tables and chairs in to the elevator and brought them down to the basement, and I orchestrated the moving of random furniture upstairs. We moved the plants into the bathroom stalls, and then filled the rest of the bathroom with things from the lobby. The couch, the little podium, the table and chairs, and other assorted items.

I had to depart at 4:15 and head to the bank to make a deposit for Steve, and then I headed home.

For dinner, we went to Lotus East with Kristen and Don! We picked them up at 7:00, and of course, we had our favorite waiter, Gene! He was amazing as usual.

After dinner, we drove around for a little bit, and then went to Red Mango in Stony Brook. I am not a fan of Yogurt.. or Yoghurt, as they call it in the UK, so I just watched.

Then, our travels took us over to Dan's parents house to check out the new fireplace. They man came earlier in they day to hook up the Tivo, and so I checked that out, and they also had installed the blinds! It's all starting to come together, and it looks really nice! We were about to leave, but then we all started talking in the living room, and we hung out until about 11:30, I think!

After that, we went to drop off Kristen and Don, but made a stop off at Walgreen's first. We tried out the Dr. Scholl's foot analyzer machine, and then Dan purchased an Iced Tea. We dropped of Kristen and Don off at home, and then headed home ourselves.

Now it's time for bed... I'm pretty tired from a long week! Yay Weekend.
