"the start of our dc easter weekend"

Hey Journal!

Today I have to pleasure of filling you in on our full weekend! Friday through Sunday!

I'm going to split up the entries, but let's start where we left off on Friday!

Work on Friday was pretty crazy. It was another one of those days! Big surprise!

I left at 3 today so that we could get a head start on our Easter weekend DC extravaganza!

I headed home, collected my belongings, changed my clothes, and then Re arrived. My mom offered to drive us out to Dan's work so that we could both leave our cars here.

Dan got our at four, and we hit the road by about 4:10. We made excellent time on the way there! It was a little rainy for some of the way, but we had a fun car ride, and we stopped for dinner at Cracker Barrel in New Jersey. It was very enjoyable.

Before going to Dan's uncle's house, we stopped at the "Shoppers" supermarket which was just around the corner to get some snacks and stuff! We also purchased scratch-off lotto tickets, which started a recurring theme of trying to win the Virginia and DC lotteries throughout the weekend! When we arrived, Dan's uncle wasn't home... he had already had plans, but he left the key for us, and we went in and got settled!

We were all tired from the ride, and planned on getting up bright and early on Saturday morning, so we got ready for bed, and then went to sleep around 11:30!
