"westfield london" or "who dares wins"

Hey Journal!

This morning we got up at about 11:30, which was pretty late for us, but we had to get a good night's sleep after the crazy long day we had yesterday!

We took our showers, got ready, and headed off for the day. Unfortunately, the DLR was closed for the weekend for repair work, and so we walked to Canary Wharf and were going to take the tube to Westfield London! We had another minor setback because part of the Jubilee line was closed for service as well, and so we had to make another change at Waterloo instead of Bond.

We did, however, make it there, and then we ate lunch at a place called the Meat and Wine Company. They had a ##10 lunch special, and we each got the steak of the day. It was a nice place, and our food was good, but the service was exceptionally slow!

After we finished eating, we went for a walk past the BBC Television Centre and then took a bus to Notting Hill Gate

Then we walked through Kensington Gardens which were very nice! I love the parks in London, they're so big and so green, and fun!

Then we went to the Science Museum. We looked at some of the exhibits, and one of the most memorable was this weird piece of "art" called "Do Not Touch" and when you touch it, it gives you a small electric shock. At first, it wasn't working, but then it started and we got zapped a few times.

The museum closed at 5:50, odd time... I know... and we walked down towards Harrod's and wound up going to eat a place called Tattersalls Tavern. I got the roast of the day which was roast beef. It came with "chips," mashed potatoes, potatoes, (a lot of potatoes, I'm just realizing!), stringbeans, carrots, and Yorkshire pudding! It was very very good.

After we ate, we took the tube back and when we got back to the hotel, we watched TV in the room for a while. We watched a show called "Who Dares Wins" and then the National Lottery drawing which is QUITE the production over here! They really go all out!

We had some drinks back in the room, and then we headed out to go to a few bars. We went to one for a while which was pretty crowded, then took a walk down the road where we found another which wasn't so good inside, so we left and went to a third bar that had the same name as the first, but was a completely different location. I liked that one the most, and the bar tenders were VERY good looking! We were there for a little while, but at 12:00, they closed! How ridiculous!

We weren't sure where to go, so we walked around a bit more, and were going to go to a club, but the line was soooo long and we have to get up pretty early tomorrow, so we took the hour bus ride back!

We just got in a little while ago. On our walk back from the bus stop, a french girl asked us for directions and surprisingly, we knew where she should go. The weird thing is that she told us she needed help "getting home," but if she lives where she said she was going, which is right near our hotel, and she also said she has lived here for 8 months... there's NO WAY she would not know where she was! It sounded a little fishy, but she was very nice, and appreciative of our help!

So, now we're off to bed! Early day tomorrow, we have a BBC Tour and then the Doctor Who Experience! AMAZING! I can't wait!

Loving London! :)

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
