"a me day in vegas"

Hey Journal!

So, today was Dan's busy work day, and he left the room around 8:00 to go meet up with the people for the conference. I slept until about 9, and then watched Regis and Kelly, and got ready to go out.

For breakfast, I had two Hostess Cupcakes, and then headed down to the pool. I got there a little before 11, and staked out a nice chair. I went in the pool, and the water was really nice. I was in for about 20 minutes, and then I decided to get out. I was drying off when I noticed a nice lounge thing open up next to the water. I claimed it, but then I saw some activity more towards the middle of the pools, and so I went to check out what chairs were available. I found a nice spot just under one of the bridges which was perfect for me because I needed some shade! I loved it, and it was easier to see my stuff when I went in the pool, too!

I sat there for a while, read my book, and just enjoyed the day. I went back in the pool for about 30 minutes or so, and then got out and went back to my spot!

While I was sitting there, I had quite the experience as I was hit on by someone who told me that I looked like I was 22, and asked me to come over and hang out with their group of friends. They had a cabana, which are apparently quite expensive, perhaps I could have gotten some free perks! :P But alas, I did not, I actually continued reading my book, and then I departed when the woman sitting next to me started wildly spraying sunscreen everywhere, and it was going all over me.

So, I left the pool area and headed back up to the room. The maid hadn't come and cleaned the room yet, which was a little annoying, but I took a shower, and then I watched some TV. Then, I went out to find some lunch. I started walking down the strip, but realized it would be pretty far to get to anything I would want for lunch, so I turned back and headed to the big mall that's right across from the hotel.

It was about 3:30, and I went to the food court, and decided on Wendy's. I got the 1- Piece Nuggets and a baked potato. After I ate, I went back down to the rest of the mall and walked around for a little bit, checking out the stores. They had a Superdry... and a couple of other British stores, which I thought was cool, but also a little strange.

Then I came back to the room, and watched some TV, and relaxed for a bit.

At about 6:00, Dan came back to the room because he had a little break inbetween the conference and dinner. We hung out here, and then decided to go take a walk. We went over to the mall, walked around, and then headed over to where he had to meet his people for dinner at the Venetian.

I continued down the strip and made my way to all the casinos looking desperately for video roulette, which I love, but haven't been able to find anywhere this trip!

I finally gave up on that idea and went to Paris and did some Super Jackpot Party. It was a complete waste, as I lost.

Then I crossed the street and watched two of the Bellagio fountain shows. They were good! It's wild how that water shoots up so high!

I kept walking, and by the time I got near the hotel, I was STARVING! It was about 9:15, and I needed something for dinner.

I went to a place called Maggiano's which was across from the hotel, and I got takeout Spaghetti and Meatballs. I came back to the hotel and ate it here in the room, and then Dan got back from dinner.

We were going to take a walk around, but it was pretty late and we were both tired, so we decided to get ready for bed. We're getting up early tomorrow to check out and then rent our car for the Grand Canyon! Woo Hooo!!

Should be exciting!

Now it's time for bed! Until tomorrow...
