"the lone fisherman"

Hey Journal!

This morning, I got up at regular time for work, and I headed out only a few minutes earlier than usual. I brought Frank to the Smithtown train station, and he bought a ticket at the machine, there. I was going to bring him to the Pinelawn station to catch the train to the city. He was buying the ticket at Smithtown since Pinelawn doesn't have a ticket machine, and it would just be easier that way.

Unfortunately, he hit the wrong buttons on the machine and purchased a ticket from Port Washington to Pinelawn! What a ridiculous combination! The machine should have realized that was foolish, and warned us! lol

Anyway, I told him it probably wouldn't be a big deal, be to be safe he bought another one to use then, and asked about the first one when he got to Penn.

So anyway, after he bought the tickets, I headed towards work, and as I said, I dropped him off at the Pinelawn station.

I got to work, and there was LOTS of random stuff to do that was leftover from last week! I was all alone in the morning, and got a lot done, and then when Dan's dad came in, we went over stuff from Thursday and Friday when he was away.

For lunch, Dan came to visit and brought a pizza. We all sat up in the restaurant and ate lunch. We were closed today, of course, so it was a nice and quiet day.

Dan was about to leave, and we were standing by the front door when we noticed a guy walking from the parking lot towards the back of the building. He was all decked out in fishing gear. He was carrying TWO fishing poles, and had a giant net attached to his back! He was wearing one of those fishing vests, and... I couldn't believe my eyes! We called Dan's dad, who had just gone back down to the office, and he ran outside to check this out!

He approached the guy as he was headed towards the lake, and asked him what he was doing. He explained that he was going fishing, and the he wanted to catch a giant carp! Dan's dad explained that he wouldn't be permitted to fish on the property, as it's private property and we don't allow fishing in our lake!

The man was very unhappy, and actually argued that he should be allowed to fish. He said that since we were closed on Monday, he didn't see the harm in it. These people are unreal! First off, we're a golf course... not a fishing club or a public park! Then, he told him that it was alright because he had a fishing license. Umm...That doesn't matter!! He left very angry, and still didn't understand why we woudn't let him fish!

Anyway, we found out today that Steve is coming back tomorrow a bit sooner than expected. He was taking his boat from here to Bermuda, and he had a bad storm which damaged to boat a little, and it will have to be repaired in Bermuda before he can continue to take it to Tortola!

So, I departed at 5 and headed home, and then I relaxed and watched the news! It was really nice to have a quiet relaxing night since we had been going crazy all weekend long.. going to the city, and all of that!

When Dan got home we ate dinner. I had leftovers from Mason Ole, and Dan stopped to pick something up for himself on the way home.

We watched TV, caught up on PanAm from two weeks ago, and then watched/played Jeopardy! (I won! WOO HOO!)

I took a shower, and it's now time to go pick up Frank from the train station. His train is coming in at 10:30, so we'd better head out now. As soon as we get home, I'm gonna head off to bed!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
