"a truly medieval time"

Hey Journal!!

Today we had a MEDIEVAL TIME!! Woo Hoo!

We got up at about 10:00 this morning and got ready for the day. We planned to meet at Linda's house around 1, but wanted to get out of the house and get the day started...so we headed out at about 11:00.

We got gas in the car, and then started to head in the direction of Linda's house. We wanted to go to a mall, and so we stopped at the South Shore mall to walk around a little. I don't think I had ever been to that mall before I went there a couple of months ago with everyone from work when they were doing their Halloween costume shopping.

We checked out the Koi Pond first. It's a very weird mall. They have a Suncost Video, which I'm pretty sure we used to have in our mall when I was VERY little! The inside of this place was SUPER 90s! It was amazing, actually. Unfortunately, they're going out of business, which means I'll probably never see one like it again! They had a big sale to get rid of their stuff, and they had a TARDIS cardboard cutout!! It was so cool! Unfortunately, it was a little expensive, and even with the 20% off discount, it wasn't really worth it. They had a stuffed Dalek that said, "EXTERMINATE!," too, but it was also kinda pricey. We decided to come back in a few weeks and see if the sale has gotten any better!

We kept walking around, and the Macy's sign was really cool. I took pictures of it. It was very old fashioned, but I liked it that way!

We made the rounds, and then departed. We were a little hungry, so we continued towards Linda's, but stopped at a Taco Bell/Pizza Hut for something quick to eat. I got a pizza, and Dan got some Tacos. We ate in the parking lot of the Burger King next door, and as we ate, we noticed a strange Real Estate office next door that was giving free photos with Santa today! There was a dirty-looking Smurf standing outside, also... apparently you could get your picture with him, too! What a fascinating offer. Unfortunately, Dan and I didn't have time to take advantage of it. It probably would have been amazing.

Next, we stopped at a Dunkin' Donuts, and Dan got a coffee. There was a man inside with really badly died hair, and the kid, Dan, who worked at the counter looked like he was regretting ever taking this job, as he called after old ladies who had forgotten to complete their order before working away form the counter!

After that, at about 1:10, we headed over the Linda's. We were greeted by Connor who was at the window waving to us, and when he opened the door, Cameron came to the door wearing nothing but a diaper! lol

We hung out for a little while while they got ready, and we checked out their Christmas tree! The decorations were really nice, and my favorite part was the Zebra at the top of the tree in place of the star! I really like that idea! As you know, I am all about the unusual and non-traditional tree toppers! Dan and I have also had strange things on our trees!

We left at about 1:45, and we made good time. Connor came with us, and we decided to go through the city. I looked at the traffic, and it seemed like the best option, even though I don't usually like that! We had no traffic at all until we got to the Lincoln Tunnel. Linda and Dan took the bus/truck tunnel, and we didn't know... and took the car lane. Unfortunately, we got stuck in about 15 minutes worth of traffic because a car headed in the opposite direction had broken down in the tunnel, and so periodically, our lane would stop to let the other people go around. That was causing the problem, but luckily we weren't on the side with the break-down because they weren't moving at ALL!

While we were in the tunnel, Connor discovered that his voice echoed amazingly, so he rolled down the window and was making noises in the car! Then Dan rolled his window down, and was barking out the window. It was quite a scene. Once we finally started moving, Connor was screaming GO GO GO GO GO out the window, as we breezed past all the stopped cars!

We arrived about 15 minutes after Linda and Dan. We quickly got inside, and checked in. We perused the lobby while we waited for the door to open!

The show was pretty good. It had been a few years since I was there, and I think it was a good amount of time. Our waiter, Dave, was nice. The garlic bread was very enjoyable, as was the chicken. There's nothing quite like eating with your fingers! :P Especially when the lights keep going off and you can barely see anything! lol We had a fun time! It brought back memories of the last visit when Ryan was imitating "THE WHITE KNIGHT!" and "GOOOOOOOOD!" It was funny!

Connor really enjoyed it! He sat on my lap during the suspenseful fights at the end, and we were really into it! Whenever the knights would die it was crazy! Cameron was really into it in the beginning, and I think she liked all off the horses.. but towards the end she was getting a little done with it! At one point, the knight threw roses into the crowd, and just as he was about to throw one, I waved my arms wildly, and I definitely made eye contact with him. He threw it out way, and it landed just behind us...and Cameron got it!

When the show was over, we parted ways and headed home. I was so exhausted during the car ride. I really don't feel like we did anything too strenuous today, but for some reason I couldn't keep my eyes open!

We stopped at the mall to take a walk around, and then went to Target before heading home.

I just took a shower, and now I am even more exhausted than before! Gonna watch a little TV, and then get to sleep!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
