"polish lunch"

Hey Journal!

This morning I got up around 10:00, and Dan and I wanted to watch some shows from the past few nights. We started watching Shark Tank, but we had to get ready got go out for Dan's birthday lunch with his parents!

We headed over to their house around 11:30, and then we all piled into Dan's dad's new car to go to a Polish restaurant in Brooklyn that Dan found online. It took about 45 minutes to get in there, and then we had to find a parking spot, and locate the restaurant.

It was a cool little place, and I liked the decoration. They had a random well in the middle of the room with lots of money in it! Then, the bathrooms were underneath a thing that looked like a stable.

I got chicken noodle soup, and turkey and mashed potatoes. The chicken noodle soup was really good, and wasn't like any chicken noodle soup I'd had before. (Though, it has to be said that there was no actually chicken in it. Just broth, noodles, and carrots.) It did taste good, though!

My turkey was cold, and I don't know if that was intentional. I would think not.. but whatever... it was still good. Now that I'm thinking about it... I should have put salt on it!

After lunch, we walked around that area of Brooklyn and went to a Polish bakery and then a Polish market. Dan's dad wanted to get bread and sausage and stuff.

Then we headed home. We made a detour to drop Brian and Jessica off at Jessica's house, and then made our way back.

It was a nice afternoon, and I'm sure it would have been even more fun if it had been a little warmer and he had a chance to walk around the area a little more.

When we got home we watched the rest of Shark Tank and then Friday night's "What Would You Do?"

I took a shower, and Dan started watching the football game that was on tonight.

Now, it's time for bed... and back to work tomorrow. Blah. We didn't get to watch Desperate Housewives OR PanAm tonight, which is really disappointing. The football game is STILL on. UGH.

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
