"wild wings with scott" or "the oscars"

Hey Journal!

This morning I got up around 10:30, and Dan had been up since about 9. We watched some of This Week on TV, and then went out to get some breakfast.

Dan had wanted to go to iHop, but when we arrived, there was a long wait, so we decided to go to Panera instead. Apparently, they only serve breakfast until 11:00am on Sundays, but before we saw that sign, Dan asked if he could still order breakfast. The woman looked at her watch, and said that that we had just made it before the cutoff! Strangely, it was actually almost 11:30. So, either the woman had no idea how to read her watch, or they have a 30 minute grace period on breakfast! Not a bad idea, actually... McDonald's should do that.

Then we went over and took a quick walk around the mall before meeting my mom at Pep Boys. She needed to get new windshield wipers for her car. We looked at the old ones, and didn't actually get new ones because we couldn't get the old ones off for ANYTHING! I've taken mine and Dan's windshield wipers off many times, and I even looked in my mom's car manual, and it looks so simple, but they wouldn't budge!

The manual says to press down on the clips, and it should pop right off. Not so! I even looked online, and apparently lots of people have that problem with the 2007 Civic. Annoying!

After that we went back to help my mom with her taxes. I did her taxes on the iPad using the TurboTax app, but we didn't actually submit them because we're going to use the Turbo Tax free edition online. There's no reason why she should pay for it when they'll do it for free... the only difference is that I have to enter her name and address again, instead of having them import it from last year. How stupid!

After that, we headed over to hang out with Scott. We picked him up, and then we went to Home Depot. Dan and I had to get some more tiles for the bathroom as well as some grout. We also wanted to get a little soap tray for the corner of the shower, but I'm not sure if the one we found is really that great!

The grout bag kept making all kinds of power all over the place! I made sure to triple bag in when we checked out!! You'd think they'd make it come in a plastic bag like potting soil does, or Jello! But no, instead they do it like sugar and flour. Strange.

After Home Depot, we were getting pretty hungry, so we went to get some food at Buffalo Wild Wings. I got the naked tenders, again, and we played the trivia game a few times! We didn't do too well, unfortunately! The people who worked there were pretty good looking, so at least there was some eye candy while we ate! :)

After that, we went to a thrift store because Scott was looking for something, and I actually made a great find there! They had a MUZZY Italian set! How amazing! It's missing one of the cassette tapes, apparently, but it's still AMAZING! I was thinking of taking the cover out of the plastic protection it's in, and hanging it up! It's so cool! Muzzy!! I always wanted that when I was little and the commercials would come on Nickelodeon!

Then we went to the mall to take a walk around and dropped Scott off at home around 6:30.

We stopped by Dan's parents' house for a bit, and they were looking though some old papers and trying to get more of Dziadzi's stuff in order

Then we got home around 7:30, and we hung out and got ready to watch the Oscars. I took a shower, and then we watched. It was good, although I'm not a HUGE Oscars person, but it was fun to watch. The buzzing robot noise that kept happening when people would speak was so obnoxious! It was terrible! I can't believe that noone could figure out/fix that problem for the entire show!

We made popcorn, and the first bag got burnt, so we made a second bag, and it was much better! I forgot that we wanted to watch Celebrity Apprentice tonight, so we'll have to watch tomorrow night instead!

Anyway, I just finished getting ready for bed, had some pancakes, and now it's time to sleep!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
