"pizza hut takeover?" or "mini golf party"

Hey Journal!

This morning we got up around 10:30 and watched last night's What Would You Do?

After the show was over, we headed out for the day. We were hungry, and decided to go to Pizza Hut for lunch. We were surprised that the usual people who are always working weren't there today. There were two indian guys working instead. I wonder if they sold the franchise or something! The service was better, actually, although I will still miss that old woman who used to be there all the time.

After that, we went to Bob's and Dan was looking for new shoes for our trip. His old white ones were pretty crappy, and he wore them to Dayglow, which was their last hurrah! Unfortunately, he found some nice ones... but they didn't have them in his size.

Next, we went to Price Club because we were in desperate need of soap and razor blades! We ran out of both! We got what we needed, and then headed over to the mall to take a walk around.

Dan got a few new shirts to take on our trip at H&M, and then we hurried out to Heartland for Mini Golf for Dan's brother's birthday!

We met there at 3:30, and off we went. It was fun. We split into three groups. In the end, Dan came in first place. Lisa came in second... and I came in third! Woo hoo!

After the golfing, we had some pizza, and then headed off. Dan and I stopped at the Commack Bob's on the way home to see if they had the shoes he was looking for. Unfortunately, they didn't have his size either... but I feel like every time we go to Bob's, we always wind up going to another one, and even a third, within a day or two!

It's weird... each location has very different things. I mean, some of the items are the same, but there are difference. For example, one pair of shoes that Dan tried on in one Bob's wasn't in the Commack one, and not only was that one shoe not available, but that whole brand was missing. I've noticed that with shirts and other things, too. I wonder why.

Anyway, I wound up getting a pair of shorts.

We came home and Dan watched another Ranger game. They're starting to get a little annoying because they are on so often and they are so pointless... it's always some weird playoff, but it only leads to ANOTHER playoff. Geez!

We cleaned up a little around the house, and then Dan made Spaghetti for dinner. We ate, and then at 10:30 we went out to Walgreen's to get Mother's Day cards. It was packed there tonight! We got "blank" cards from the 99 cent section, and wrote Happy Mother's Day in them. They were just as good as the other cards, and who wants to spend more than a dollar on a piece of paper anyway!

Then, we went to ShopRite to get some ice cream so that Dan could make some milk shakes when we got home. They had the ice cream on sale for $2.50... and they also had fruit punch on sale for 99 cents! Rose was hanging the sign in the window. Woo.

When we got home, I took a shower, and then Dan made us some milk shakes. Then we watched an episode of Phineas and Ferb, and now it's time for bed!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
