Hey Journal!

This morning we woke up at around 8:00 and we got ready for our breakfast. We went out and had our breakfast in the room next door. We asked for only the components that we wanted, instead of getting all the random things and not eating them.

When the breakfast came, it had tomatoes, which was one of the items we requested not to have. The woman told us not to worry, it wasn't a tomato, it was just garnish, and we didn't have to eat it!

I had cereal and then an egg and some British bacon! I love love love their bacon, it's so amazing! It's like large strips of ham... and who wouldn't love that! I really think that we have to make out bacon like that in the US. It's so much more quality!

After that, we packed up the car and off we went! We drove down through Torquay and Paignton, and then off to Dartmoor National Park. Dan had told me it was more of a forest-like park, but when we got there, it looked like a dessert. It was kinda blah, and we didn't see too much exciting stuff there.

We got lost a couple of times on the roads in the park, and then we finally found a little information center, and a nice bridge. We stopped and took some pictures there. There was a man waiting to take a picture of the bridge, and there were two women standing on the bridge for a long time. Everyone else was milling around in silence, and then the man yelled "LADIES....PLEASE...." and motioned that they get off the bridge! It was so random, and so awkward..... WE LOVED IT!

We took some pictures there, and then off we went. Our plan was go further west towards Newquay, but decided against it, and to go up to Cardiff instead.

We drove there, and then went to the mall. We had lunch there, and checked out the stores. One thing we noticed is that they have a FULL one piece sweatsuit in some stores, and it's so random! I couldn't imagine someone wearing that at home! Also, they sell a lot of grandma-style sweatshirt with weird pictures on them, and we saw a lot of people walking around with them! It was odd! I wonder how long it'll take before that becomes popular in the US!

So, we had lunch at a little italian restaurant, and it was good, but unfortunately the portions were kinda small, and we were hungry again very soon after.

We walked around the mall, and then looked online for a place to stay. We called a couple of Bed and Breakfasts, but they weren't available, so we went went on Hotwire and booked a random hotel on there. It wound up being the Holiday Inn in Cardiff Bay. It was an alright hotel, but it was about a 20 minute walk from the city.

We drove over there and got ourselves situated. I took a shower, and got ready to go out for the night. We walked to the city and looked for somewhere to eat again. We found a nice pub and went inside and ordered Steak and Ale pies. They were enjoyable. There were a lot of people there watching the "football" match.

After that, we went to a bar and had a couple of drinks, and then returned to the pub. We just sat there for a while, and some random guy came over and talked to us. He kept telling us to get up and not just sit there. He was a little weird, and when he finally left us alone for two seconds, we made a break for it and got out of there!

We walked back to the hotel, and it was pretty cold out! Ahh! It needs to warm up around here! Now, it's time to get some rest! Not sure what we're doing tomorrow yet!

Goodnight. :)
