"summer party 2012" or "chicken strips and lolcano"

Hey Journal!

Yesterday was Dan's annual summer party, and so we didn't get home until pretttty late! That's why I'm here now to fill you in on all the details!

I woke up around 11 and watched some TV, and got ready to go out. Dan got up around 11:45, and we headed off to the party store to look for some appropriate decorations for the festivities. We found some Dora the Explorer hanging decorations, a Justin Bieber VIP Party banner, and an inflatable monkey, of course.

After that, we took a walk around the mall, and then went over to Price Club. Before we did our shopping, we got some pizza for lunch. We got cups for water, and they gave us little dixie cups... the kind you use to rinse your mouth out after brushing your teeth! You could only take one sip! What a joke. Sometimes I REALLY get pissed off at Costco. I feel like their employees have this attitude problem like they are holding something sacred, and you have to prove yourself worthy of even being there. INSTEAD, it should be the complete opposite. We pay each year to be MEMBERS there, and they should treat people with the proper customer service attitude.

That's an aside from the cup thing, but the cup thing is just another pain in the ass. If they didn't have great prices, I would drop their ass so fast.

Anyway, we got some hamburgers, buns, and beer there for the party, as well as a watermelon for me! :)

When we got home, we had a little snack and put together a CD of music for the fiesta!

At 5:30, we headed over, and started to get things set up. Dan and I went to Waldbaum's to get ice, chips, and cranberry juice, but by the time we got there, we had forgotten two of the three items, and left with only ice.

Liz came around 7:00, and she brought the chips we had forgotten, and then we went to CVS to buy some cranberry juice. I was appalled to find that the cranberry juice was $5.00!!! What a rip off, but luckily it just so happened to be on sale for $2.50! Nice!!

So, when we got back, Re had already arrived, and the party commenced! It was a very good turnout, and I think everyone really enjoyed!

So, the attendants, possibly in the order in which they arrived, were Liz, Re, Tommy and his girlfriend Mia, Lau and Ryan, Kristen and Don, Kristen's brother Matt, Linda, Jerry and Aisha, and Joey!

We had an inflatable kiddie pool with giant eyes that held the beer! I feel that this was a highlight of the party.

We had a really fun time, we had to go inside for a little while because there was a lot of heat lightning at one point, but it passed very quickly, and we went back outside!

Later on we went in the pool, but only Me, Dan, Joey, and Linda went in.

We had hamburger, and the party wrapped up around 1:30am! It totally felt later than that to me! We were all fine to drive home, so instead of spending the night like we had planned, we decided to go home and sleep in our own bed.

We headed back and I had a little snack and took a shower. We were in bed by 2:30, and Dan had to get up early this morning, so he tried to get right to sleep!

And that was how the party went down!! It was a really fun time, and I hope that everyone had a good time!

I'll be back later! Adios for now. :)
