"jen b's birthday dinner"

Hey Journal!

Work today was pretty busy for a Friday. I'm not sure why, but I had a ton of things to do. In the afternoon, I went out to Home Depot and Radio Shack to get some supplies to rig up a doorbell in the kitchen.

In the morning, the waitresses need a way to signal to the cooks who are in the back when a ticket comes in, so now they will just press the bell, and it'll ring back there! I got a battery, a buzzer, and a doorbell button. It was all less than $35. Then I came back and set it all up!

I love doing things like that!

Anyway, at about 1:30, Re came in to work. She was later than she expected because she had a doctor appointment this morning that took a long time.

We left at 4:45, and I had to go over to the cemetery to meet a church pastor. What happened was, this church that's been on the program since like 2009 never paid us for four people whose plots were paid in full. We kept sending them noticed, even called them a bunch of times, and faxed them, and they never responded. In the meantime, these people kept calling to see where their deeds were!

So, this pastor called today saying that someone in the congregation had died unexpectedly, and needed a plot. I told him that unfortunately since they had 4 plots still outstanding, we couldn't do a new order. He got his act together, FINALLY (this has been going on since Aug 2010) and said he would send in a check. Unfortunately, we needed it NOW... so I told him I'd meet him there at 5.

He showed up around 5:15, gave me the check, and I got him to sign the contract for the plots. Phew! All set!

Anyway, I left around 5:20, and headed home.

I got ready to go out to dinner for Jen B's birthday, and then took a shower. When Dan got home, we headed off to the Bulldog Grille in Amityville.

Everone was there tonight... It was great! Of course, Jen B and Amanda were there... Me & Dan, Re, Lau, Robby, and JC! All of Big N was representing, and we were all very happy that Ryan came as well!

I got the chicken pot pie for dinner, and it was very tasty. It was a nice place, despite being a Lessings place. Lessings is so weird.

So, we had a fun time, and after dinner, we all played the "hidden picture" game on the back of the placemats! It was great! Everyone was so into it, and we had a hard time finding the second "Art Brush" and the Shoe was a tricky one as well!

We departed around 11 and headed home! When we got back, we watched a couple of episodes of the Twilight Zone that we had recorded on Wednesday. One was about these two aliens who are killed by a woman, but it turns out that the aliens are really from Earth, and woman if a giant from another planet! I only recorded it because Agnes Moorehead was in it, and she didn't even look like I remember her looking on Bewitched.

The premise was good, but the story was so boring and drawn out. Then we watched the famous Willoughby episode that Dan loves.

Anyway, now it's time for bed!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
