"labor day is fast approaching" or "another member gets the boot"

Hey Journal!

Happy Friday!

This morning I headed off to work and when I arrived, the first thing I had to do was check the security cameras from last night to see what went on in the Golf Shop before the dinner. Some shirts were missing, and although we had already figured out who stole them, we wanted to see exactly what went down.

The video was very clear and very obvious. It was a member who has caused a lot of problems in the past, and we could see him sneaking in, stealing the shirts, and leaving with them stuffed into his bag.

Anyway, he was playing again this morning, so as soon as Dan's dad got in to work, we got everything ready to terminate his membership. When he got in off the course, he was asked to come down to the office, and then Dan's dad cut him loose.

He has always been a crazy one. I think it's going to be much nicer now that he's no longer a member. We also think that many of the members will be happy as well once they find out through the usual rumor mill.

Re came in this morning and did all of the closes and bank stuff. She couldn't stay long today because she had to go to her classroom to put the finishing touches on before school starts!

In the afternoon, I worked on getting random stuff ready for the Extravaganza on Sunday, and then I put some new members into the computer. We got THREE new members today! Woo Hoo! What a hot day!

I departed a little after 5:00 and headed home. I watched some of the news, and then as soon as Dan got home, we went to get dinner at Boston Market. Again, we got our meal "to go," but decided to eat it there. I LOVE that we can get the plastic compartment plates that way! I don't have any interest in their "fancy" new style.

Next, we met Dan's dad at the storage facility and picked up a table for Brian and Jessica. We loaded it into the car, and then headed to their new apartment.

We helped them set up their Wii, and then set up the table, and I fixed a problem they were having with their blinds. We only spent a short time there, though. I thought we were going to be helping them move stuff in all night.... but they left at like 8:30 or so... so we left, too.

We stopped by to say Hi to my mom, and Dan told everyone about his trip to Texas, and his debacle getting home!

When we got home, I took a shower, and now it's time for bed...

Dan's not feeling so well, and tomorrow we have the triplets' birthday party!

I'm exhausted now! Until tomorrow...
