"stood up" or "mini golf and stuff"

Hey Journal!

What a freaking disappointment!! We got up at 8am and quickly did some last minute things to make everything presentable for the prospective buyer that was coming at 9! Basically... Dan's mom's cousin heard we were getting ready to sell our place and she said that someone she worked with's son was looking to buy. She called Dan's dad at work and told him, and said he was very excited and really interested in our place.

About two weeks ago we set today as the day for him to come look at it, at 9am. Dan's dad gave me the phone number he had gotten through them, and that was that.

Last night, Dan called the number and left a message just to confirm that he was coming. We never heard back from him. We were pretty sure he was still on, but just wanted to make sure. When we never got a call back, we were a little worried. Then at about 8:30, we got a call from that number. Dan answered, and it was actually Donna, the one who had set this all up.

Then we got even more worried that this wasn't going to happen. And sure enough, we sat here all morning, and the mystery buyer, "Bill H," was a no-show! REALLY?? SO FREAKING ANNOYING!

We were supposed to go to Connor's Little League parade but didn't because of this, and then this jerk doesn't come and doesn't even bother to call to cancel. We stayed up all night cleaning for nothing and ruined our Friday night. What an asshole.

Meanwhile, it's great that our place is clean now and so it's good we had some motivation, but we could have done more work this weekend and not completely wasted a Friday night slaving away, and MISSED going to the gym for some schmuck who never showed up. I swear. If he wants to buy our place in the future, he gets a $15,000 penalty.

While we waited, we watched last week's episode of Forever Young on TVLand and then we went out at about 11:00 to get bagels.

When we came home, we watched Judge Judy from last night which I had recorded and then Linda came over. We figured someone should see our clean place!

Linda came around 2:00 and we hung out here for a bit and then went out for lunch to Buffalo Wild Wings! I went back and forth between getting the Parmesan Garlic Chicken Flatbread Pizza and the Naked Tenders. This time, I chose the flatbread, but as usual I kinda wished I had ONE Naked Tender to satisfy my craving! That's the whole reason I had wanted to go there, and then I don't get the one thing I really NEEDED!

Next, we went to the Country Fair for some Mini Golf action! We plated "Course 1" and we all did pretty well! Cameron got her first Hole in One on the second hole! I think Connor got a hole in one also, and then I got one too!! Linda didn't play... she was just the designated scorekeeper!

Next we went to the batting cages and Dan and Connor hit some balls! Connor wanted to go to play Laser Tag and Cameron wanted to go on the Go Karts, so Linda and Connor played Tag and Dan and Cameron went on the Go Karts!

It was starting to get a little chilly after that, so we headed out and decided to go take a walk around the mall. On the way, we stopped at PetCo because Linda needed to get a tag for Pluto. The tag making machine was pretty neat! I liked it!

We walked around the mall and Connor was soooooooooo thirsty that he couldn't bear to continue for one more second! He did, however, refuse water from the water fountain because he didn't just want one sip... it wouldn't have been enough.

Last, but not least, we went to Yogurtini in Smithtown for dessert! I got the "cookies and cream" yoghurt after debating about the cake batter one. It was pretty good... I think it's a little expensive though. I do hope it's at least a little more healthy than ice cream.

It was about 9:00 when we finished and Linda dropped us back off at home.

We did some random stuff, I took a shower, and then we watched Doctor Who!! Tonight's episode was better than last week's, but not by much. I feel like they've been a little dry lately. Maybe because they have taken place in such confined spaces. I dunno.

Alas, now it's 12:10 and we're off to bed!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
