"hard hat"

Hey Journal!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

This morning I headed off to work and it was a pretty nice day out. I'm hoping that that weekend will be nice, too because I feel like the last few weekends have been cold and rainy any blah! I'm ready for SUMMER!!

Steve was off today, he had gone up to Rhode Island to visit his grandchildren and I spent the day working on random stuff. I had a lot of things to get ready for Re to do when she came in, also. Re had planned to come in today in the afternoon because she wasn't going to have time this weekend.

For lunch today, I had pork chops. They were good! The restaurant was super busy this afternoon... every table was full and there was a long wait! We never have a wait! Wildness!

I left at 4 today because I had to go make a deposit at the bank and then get to the gym and all that before going out to dinner with Kristen and Don.

Re got to the golf course a little later than I had expected, so I never saw her... but that's not too big of a deal... there were just a few things I wanted to go over with her, and I can do it next time!

I got home, got changed and ready for the gym, and then I went to the bank. The lady at the bank wanted to get us to make our check deposits remotely using a check scanner. I told her that I was open to the idea but that if there was a monthly fee involved, we wouldn't be able to do it. She said she would have their business specialist call me, but I don't know what they will be able to do because we have a higher up person who manages our account. Though, I think if I asked them for the remote deposit, they'd be able to do get it done, too... I just never thought to ask them!

After that, I went to the gym and it was a pretty typical crowd for a Friday. I did have a really strange run-in though. I had just arrived and I went over to the Ab Crunch machines. There are four of them, two are LifeFitness and two are some other brand. I always use the Life Fitness ones, though. So, I sat down and did some crunches and then I took a break. I sat there and got my music turned on and stuff.

Somewhere in there, a guy came down and took the machine to my left. Next thing I know, this weird old man with a tight red shirt, orange complexion, and white puffy hair that looked like cotton candy came over and stood right between the two of us. He really looked like a larger, older version of an Oompa Loompa! Then he goes "HELLO!!" So, basically, he wanted to use the machines and he was annoyed that we were both taking a little break. Now, I understand that he may want to use the LifeFitness ones over the other two, but I have been in that exact same situation as him before and I would NEVER say anything to the people on the machines!! It wasn't like we were there for even 5 minutes.... we had just gotten there! It was so weird. So, I glanced up, and then the next thing he goes "HELLO!!!!" again!

I just continued working out and I was sooo confused / surprised! I thought to myslef, I will sit here and do 1,000 crunches before I get up now! I was so annoyed at him. But, as it turned out, the guy next to me left after about 30 seconds and the weird cotton candy man sat down and was there for about 1 minute before leaving. So strange!!

Gym Report:
50 Crunches at 50lbs
50 Pulldowns at 40lbs
1 Mile on the Treadmill in 17mins
1 Mile on the Treadmill in 12mins
2 Miles on the EBike in 7mins

When I got home I showered up and watched World News. Then Dan and I got ready and we went outside to wait for Kristen and Don to pick us up for dinner.

The came around 7:15 and we decided to go to the same place we had gone last week and give it another try. We had to go back to their house first, though, because Don needed to get his rewards card which we had obtained last time!

Kristen had a hard hat in the backseat of her car because tomorrow for work she's going to be going to take photos and everyone will be wearing hard hats with their company logo on it. I liked it, actually. It was surprisingly comfortable and I wore it the whole night while driving around. I feel you can never be too safe in a car!

We had to wait for a seat again because the only table available was right next to the music again! This week the guy was better than last week, though. While we waited, we played QuickDraw a couple of times and unfortunately we didn't win! We got addicted to it though and played a few more times. We only won $1, but we lost $12 altogether! We came soooo close a bunch of times!

I got the shepherd's pie again and it was very enjoyable! We were sat in a completely different part of the restaurant, and I liked this area better. We had a booth, and we actually had the same waitress as last week. She remembered us.

After dinner, we went to Kohl's because Kristen needed to get boots for work tomorrow but they didn't have any! Then we went to Target and looked there, but it seems that boots are not really in season right now!

We got home around 10:30 and I wanted to go out and do something else but Dan just wanted to go to sleep. We wound up watching tonight's Shark Tank and 20/20! At the end of Shark Tank they had a really weird Phineas and Ferb segment, and I loved it because I love Phineas and Ferb but it was just very strange!!

Alas, now it's time for bed....

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
