"smithtown day" or "ready to sell"

Hey Journal!

This morning, Dan and I got up around 10:00 and we watched This Week. Then we got ready for our crazy real estate agent to come over and finalize things for us to sell our place.

We went over the paperwork and then she took a walk around and gave us some ideas of things to do to get ready for the open house.

At about 12:45, we went over to Kristen and Don's and we got ready to walk the exciting Smithtown Day! It was pretty much the same event as the last however many years we've been going! There wasn't too much going on, but I do always enjoy perusing the booths and checking out all of the crazy people who turn out for it! Plus, it's an opportunity to walk down the middle of Main Street! What more of a reason do you need!?

We made our way down the street and one of the best/luckiest finds was a booth that was giving out free Guinness Pint glasses! It seemed like they were just doing it for a very limited time because when we walked back, they were all gone! We really had good timing on that one!

We made our way back on the other side of the street, and then we sat on the grass in the shade under a big tree by Walgreen's.

There was a crossing guard at the end of the road, and we were watching her as she did absolutely NOTHING because the street was completely closed to traffic! What could possibly have been the purpose of having a crossing guard at that intersection!? It was so strange!

We were all starting to get a bit hungry so we went to Kristen and Don's...dropped off our pint glasses, and then walked to Mannino's for pizza! The pizza was kidna expensive, and they just recently re-did the inside of the restaurant. It looks weird. The booths are really tacky and gaudy, and they put the liquor bottles in the front window where the sun is beating down on them! It's really strange.

We ate our lunch and then walked back. Dan and I had some things to take care of the rest of the day, so we headed off to Price Club. We needed to get more bottled water for the gym! The last couple of day's we've been out and have been relying on refilling bottles or using the water fountain at the gym.

We got our water and some milk, and then we headed home. Next up, we went to Target to return a TON of bottles. We had $6.30 worth, so at .05 each, that's 126 bottles! The bottle return machines at Target today were such a disaster! One Plastic machine and the Can machine were broken. The one working plastic machine was making the loudest grinding noises, and the glass machine made such a LOUD noise when the glass was shattered! It was insane!!

After that we stopped at Dan's parents house on the way home because Dan needed to pick up a hanging suitcase that he wanted to take with him on his work trip. Which, if I hadn't mentioned yet... He's going to Chicago for work tomorrow afternoon and will be back on Wednesday evening.

When we got home, we got ready for and headed to the gym. It was quiet there tonight but again it was too hot! I really feel upset because I haven't been running on the treadmill much at all. I just feel like I get too hot. I really wanted to keep working at my record, and I was doing so well for a while, but now I am just very discouraged.

Gym Report:
50 Crunches at 50lbs
50 Pulldowns at 45lbs
1 mile on the Treadmill in 13mins
2 miles on the EBike in 8mins

When I was done, Dan still had about 5 minutes left so I told him I would meet him outside. When I went out, there was such an amazing cool breeze, I was so happy to be out of the gym. Then, when we walked in when we got home, it was nice to actually be in air conditioning!

We got showered up and then Dan packed for his trip and I started cleaning out the hall closet. Our real estate agent told us to organize it a little so when people look inside it looks like there's a lot of space, so that's what I did! It looks pretty good so far!

Then at about 9:30, we watched Honey I Shrunk the Kids which was on channel 55. We started watching in the middle, though. I haven't seen that movie in a REALLY long time!

Now it's time for bed, and back to work tomorrow! First golf outing of the year... should be an interesting day!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
