"instant replay" or "darts champions"

Hey Journal!

Today was a very quiet day at work! It was the first day that Steve was on vacation, and Dan's dad and mom went to watch a golf tournament out east. I was the only one in the office, so I had lots of time to get things done.

Since July 1st is rapidly approaching, I spent some time working on the new code I need to add to the monthly bill program in order to cycle the current charges into the history database which is hosted on a completely different server. I have all the code done now, the only question I still haven't figured out an answer to is how to run the code. I mean, should I just include the code in the current script? I guess that makes the most sense, but I also have to remember to change the database back. Not too big of a deal, but I was kinda trying to avoid that.

At about 1:00, Re came in to do the daily closes and get everything ready for the bank! It's nice that now that she's off from school we can actually work together. I feel like we're able to get more stuff done because we can just talk to eachother rather than leaving notes and nothing happening until the next weekend!

For lunch I had grilled chicken. Re and I called it a day at 4:45, and Re brought the deposit to the bank! This was her first time doing it and she was afraid she may get mugged going in with the big deposit bag!

When I got home, I watched the news and then got ready for the gym. When Dan got home, we headed right there.

Gym Report:
50 Crunches at 50 lbs
1 mile on the Treadmill in 14mins
.5 miles on the Treadmill in 7mins

We got home, showered up, and Re arrived here at 7:45 to go to dinner. We picked up Kristen and Don and then we went to our usual hangout. We actually didn't go last weekend, though...so we were due to return.

We didn't get any of our usual servers, unfortunately... but the hostess, who always remembers us, was there. We found out her name... Aprilrose. One word. She said we looked like we got out of a clown car when we arrived.

We played QuickDraw, of course, and this time we actually WON $21! Taking out the money we put in, $10, we really only won $11. We each took back four dollars each and we gave the extra dollar to Aprilrose who we had promised to cut in if we won anything!!

Maybe next time we can hit the big one!

We left there and headed out for a little adventure to see Shawn's softball game in Huntington. We got to the field and caught the last inning. Caitlin, Jackie, and some others were there as well! We hung out until the game was over, and then talked for a bit.

Everyone was going to a bar after, but Kristen and Don were not up for that, so we dropped them back off at home, and then returned. The place was called Instant Replay. It's located in a little storefront, but it's very deceiving! I would never imagined how big it was inside, or how it was set up inside from the outside.

There was karaoke, however we didn't participate in that... we only watched! Caitlin had told us about a guy who sings Shaggy, and how unbelievable it was. We were hoping he would be there so that we could witness it for ourselves, and to our luck.. he WAS!

When we stepped up to the microphone, Caitlin and Jackie were telling us to watch because Shaggy was up. Me and Re couldn't figure out who it was! The guy looks nothing like a person you would expect to sing a Shaggy song so perfectly... but that's exactly what he did!

We were SHOCKED, and amazed by his performance! He sounds exactly like him, and it was sooooo weird! I'm so glad we got to see it!

After that, we watched Dan and Tim play darts against Shawn and... someone else... I forget who! Shawn's team won, and Re and I decided we really wanted to give it a go! We took a few practice shots, and then the game got underway! Shawn's new teammate was Tommy. Me and Re had a great start... we got two bullseyes in some of the very first times we were up! Getting those out of the way really put us in a good position, I think!

At the end, we had a hard time getting the LAST one we needed, but we did, and WE WON! Woo Hoo!! We had to compete against Caitlin and Jackie after that, but they forfeited halfway through because Jackie had to leave.

(Just so you know, Re and I are claiming to be two time undefeated champions... no matter the circumstances!)

We left around 1:50 and on our way home we stopped at Wendy's for some food! I was worried that Wendy's closed at 2... and we pulled into the parking lot at 1:59! Luckily, they were open until 3 on Fridays! Nice!

I got nuggs and a chicken sandwich.

We got home around 2:30, and now it's time for sleep! I am so tired, and we have a busy day tomorrow! We have to get up early to clean up for our open house and then, after that, we have to go out for the big Fireworks show at Eisenhower park!! Woop!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
