"i'm allergic to cats!!" or "return to fra amici"

Hey Journal!

This morning we got up and watched a little TV before heading out to get some breakfast.

We went to Blvd Bagels in Nesconset and then brought our food over to the park behind the former Armory and current library. We ate at one of the picnic tables by the tennis courts. Just as we were finishing up, it started to rain, and then it started to pour!

We left there and went to the Verizon store near the mall. Dan is looking to get a new phone sometime soon and we wanted to check out some prices. It looks like Target and Best Buy have sales on iPhones every couple of weeks, so we're going to wait for a good deal!

After that we came home and hung out here for a bit. We watched TV and then at about 2:00, we went to the gym.

Gym Report:
60 Crunches at 50lbs
1 mile on the Treadmill in 17mins
1 mile on the Treadmill in 16mins
2 miles on the EBike in 9mins

When we got home, we got showered up and then Dan decided to take a nap. I did stuff online, and then at 5:00... Dan got up and we got ready to leave.

We had plans to meet Linda at our favorite little italian spot... Fra Amici II! (There's always some confusion as to whether it's 1 or 2, but we clarified it today... It's 2.)

On the way, Linda texted me and asked if we could change the plans a little and meet at the Broadway Mall because she needed to get her eyebrows threaded! lol We met at the Target, and Dan and I took Connor and Cameron over to Gamestop while Linda did her thing!

Next, we were off to Fra! Connor and Cameron both wanted to drive with us, so they got their seats and we headed there. On the way, Cameron requested that we listed to the color song, and I am so happy that they are into that song! I feel like I've passed on something amazing to them, and the fact that they appreciate it is great!

After the song was over, I tried to go through some more tracks on the CD and I skipped over a few, and one of them she instantly recognized as being from Peter Pan after only one note! She wanted to go back and hear it. She said she watched the whole movie, and she LOVED it, and loved the song! She was singing along to it. Then we went to Lion King, and she said she loved that movie too, but Scar was bad. She also said she likes Captain Hook even though he's bad.

We got to Fra Amici and they weren't crowded. (We didn't expect it to be or anything!) And just so you know, their takeout menus say that they are now "Back under original ownership!") I got the spaghetti and sausage, and it was good... just as I had remembered!

Linda told us all about her cruise and Cameron was very talkative tonight, telling us all about her pool noodles, about the time we went to Gasho, about movies she watched... she was just full of things to say!

After we ate, we went to a park and walked around by the water. Linda told us more about her cruise and Dan, Connor, and Cameron played all of the "Fit Station" things and did Sit ups and all that crazy stuff!

It was really hot and humid and sticky out, and we decided that we needed FroYo after that! Connor was going to ride with Linda, but when he realized that she wasn't going to let him use her phone, he decided to come with us. We told him... "You would pick your phone over us??" Then we asked Cameron, "If you had to choose to hang out with us, or a phone, what would you choose?" She pointed to us! We told her she made a good decision! Connor said, "But cameron... It's a PHONE!!!" Then Dan said, "Cameron understands that you can play with a phone any time... you can't ALWAYS see your friends!"

We went to 16 Handles in Westbury. Of all the FroYo places I've been, I like 16 Handles the best. They always have lots of flavors I like, and I generally like the look and feel of the store better, too.

When we paid, we gave Alec's phone number for the rewards card because I know how much he loves getting free FroYo rewards! I figured we'd give him some more points! :P

We ate outside the store at a little table, and they were playing some wild musical selections. We were singing along and acting weird!

When we were done eating, we took a walk down the shopping center and checked out all the other stores in the shopping center.

We tried to walk over to Kohl's, but they were closed... however we did have some fun in the parking lot with the carts! Oh... I almost forgot... Cameron was in the cart and a cat ran by super fast, so I started chasing it, and as we were running like crazy, connor was holding onto the handle screaming "I'M ALLERGIC TO CATS!!!!!!!!!"

So, we left at about 10:15 and Dan and I headed home. We got home around 10:45 and watched some TV before heading to bed. We watched an episode of Judge Judy, and then Dan found a scary bug with like 1,000 legs! He went to kill it, but it may have gotten away! We couldn't find it anywhere, but he thinks he might have squished half of it. UGH! Oh well! We looked all over, and it was nowhere to be found, so hopefully it'll stay hidden!

Anyway, now it's time for bed!
