"video shoot on the lawn"

Hey Journal!

Today was the best day of the week of work so far. It was still pretty intense, but it was much better than Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday! Finally!

I got up at the usual time and headed off to work. There wasn't any traffic, and when I got to work the morning was pretty quiet. I used that time to clean off some things that had been lingering around my desk, and then at 10:45 we had an e-mail scheduled to go out to the people on our Pelican list to let them know about our 2014 membership specials!

Once the e-mail went out, the flood gates opened! It was INSANE! We got back over 50 emails and they all had to be answered. Dan's dad got a ton of phone calls, and we were off to the start of a crazy day!

The best part about the day was that Canon was doing a video shoot on our lawn. It had nothing to do with Dan, it was a completely different department... but they set up a fake office backdrop on our lawn and did a little skit with some of their executives! I went outside and watched as they filmed it, so that gave me a good break from the office, and it was nice to be outside for a while.

So, the skit went like this... three guys are in an office and they're having a video conference on their laptop with their boss. They're going over some numbers and then say they have to end the call to get back to work. Just then, the backdrop falls... revealing that they're really on a golf course! -HAHAHA- Then one of the guys smashes the computer with a golf club and they think the other guy hasn't noticed, but they hear him say "I can still hear you!" and then he smashes the laptop again! It sounds really corny, but it was actually funny, and very fun to watch them film it. It took about an hour or so and they did about 10 takes of each line. It was pretty intense.

The video is going to be for an internal annual meeting they're having in California, but the lady from the advertising agency said she would send us a copy of the finished product.

After that, I came back inside and had a bunch more emails to deal with. We also got a call from a member who wanted to switch from a Full to a Weekday member. Unfortunately, we aren't accepting any new Weekday members at all, so I had to tell him that he can't do it. He wasn't happy... but what else is new. I can't please everyone all of the time!

Alas, finally, it was 5:00 and I headed home. I am really hoping that tomorrow will be a relaxing day and I can get some work done but not be torn in a million different directions! Only time will tell!

When I got home, we went to the gym.

Gym Report:
50 Crunches at 50lbs
1 mile on the Treadmill in 13 mins
1 mile on the Treadmill in 14 mins
2 miles on the EBike in 9 mins

When we got home, I took a shower and we watched OB. I had some leftover Chinese food for dinner and then we watched The Lookout and Judge Judy! What a night!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
