"three parks, one day"

Hey Journal!

Well, sadly, our vacation at Walt Disney World is quickly coming to an end. We have only one half of a day left, and it's really sad. Today, we packed in as much excitement as possible to end the week with a bang!

We got up at 7:45 and got ready to go! We had breakfast at Coconino Cove and then got the bus over to Hollywood Studios! Our first order of business was to try to get a FastPass for Toy Story, but the passes were already too late for us!

Instead, we went over to ride the Tower of Terror. We also stopped at the FastPass+ Kiosk and made some reservations for the day! We were able to get Tower of Terror, Rockin Roller Coaster, and Toy Story Midway Mania! Woo Hoo! And, the Midway Mania time was much earlier than the paper one would have been!

We rode Tower of Terror on standby and then went over to use our first FastPass+ ever on Rockin' Roller Coaster. We were a few minutes early so we decided to ride it as single riders first! Dan and I got split up, as we expected, but a second later, there was absolutely nobody on the regular line, so everyone else on the Single Ride line got to ride together! Sheesh!

As soon as we got off, we got right back on using the FastPass+! It was really cool using our MagicBands to get in! We sat in the very front.... we were going to request it, but t happened anyway!

After that, we had some time to kill before our Tower of Terror FastPass+, so we went over to the Animation academy because Dan wanted to draw another character. This time we id Jiminy Cricket! It was kinda stupid... I like Jiminy Cricket, but he was bad at teaching people how to draw it. Dan's looked more like Chicken Little, and mine looked like Mr. Toad. It actually looked more like Mr. Toad than it did Jiminy!

When we got out, it was time for Tower of Terror. Every time we've ridden it this trip we've happened to get seated in the front row. Pretty wild.

Next, we walked around the park looking for food options. It's weird... there aren't really as many good Quick Service options at Hollywood Studios as there are at Magic Kingdom or Epcot.

We decided to hold off on lunch and eat back at the hotel instead.... so while we waited for our Midway Mania time to come, we had a snack. We got a pretzel and frozen lemonade and then went over to watch the movie in One Man's Dream.

When that was over, we had about 3 minutes before our FastPass time, so it was perfect.

Dan beat me this time, but only by about 4,000 points! Not too bad! Then, we said our goodbyes to Hollywood Studios and headed to get a bus back to the hotel.

When we got back, we went to the room, I plugged in my phone, and took off my shoes because my feet were killing me!

In the beginning of the week I felt like we did less walking and I was like "don't we usually walk more at Disney?" And then all of a sudden we started walking sooooo many miles a day. I wish I knew how many miles we walked... we've walked back and forth from one end of a park to the other way too many times to count! it's ridiculous. Especially in Magic Kingdom!

Anyway, we headed over to the restaurant here at the hotel and it was closed. It was about 2:45, and it had closed at 2. Instead, we came up with a good plan. Instead of eating here and then going in the pool, and then going to Magic Kingdom tomorrow to do a few last rides... we'd go right to Magic Kingdom now, eat lunch there, and then ride a few things before getting back on our original plan of going to Epcot tonight.

We went back to the room, got ready, and off we went. We got to MK and there was a parade going on which severely congested Main Street. We were going to eat at Pinocchio's Village House, but we were diverted through Liberty Square and decided to check out the Columbia Harbour House instead! I got chicken with broccoli!

We ate upstairs, and I LOVE eating upstairs. We went up and this woman who worked there asked us... "wasn't there a rope across the stairs?" And I believe she was insinuating that the area was closed and we shouldn't have been up there, but there were a few people up there finishing their lunch, and I suspect she wasn't allowed to tell us we COULDN'T eat up there... but was trying to scare us away!

It didn't work... we found a table and parked up there. She walked around with her broom and pail and I wasn't about to care.

When we were finished eating, we went to the Monsters Inc, Laugh Floor. Dan really wanted to do that before we left, so it was good that we could fit it in. They made some updates to the show... nothing too major, but just changed a few graphics and sequences up a little. I think it keeps it fresh! I liked it.

As our last Magic Kingdom ride, we rode the Peoplemover around Tomorrowland. What a great way to end our last trip to Magic Kingdom for the week!

We left Magic Kingdom and said our goodbyes to another park. We wanted to take the monorail, but it was closed for maintenance, so we had to take a Ferryboat to the TTC. The boat took forever to come and it was hot as could be under the little awning.

Finally, we got over to the TTC and got on the monorail to Epcot!

It was nice to get one last monorail ride in, also!

We went on Spaceship Earth one last time, and then over to Imagination! and then The Land! We rode Living with the Land, Before we did that, we stopped at Club Cool to get some ginger ale, though.

Then we made our way to the World Showcase. We went to Mexico, but the line was way too long for the ride, so we skipped it. Then we walked around to Germany and hung around until it was time for our dinner reservations at 7:40.

We ate at the Biergarten. The dinner was good, I enjoyed the food, and we had to share a table with a group of six people. We didn't really interact with them, though. There was a German musical performance.... they played bells, and it was a pretty good show!

After dinner, we rode Maelstrom! Another one of my favorites! There was a nice guy working the door... Marius. Norwegian, of course.

Next we made a pitstop in China because I had to go to the bathroom. At the risk if getting a little too detailed... I think I left most of my German food in China, and I'm pretty sure what I did in that bathroom would be considered an offense against China!!

Next, we made our way around the World Showcase again and found a spot to watch Illuminations! We had about 40 minutes to kill before the show, but we had nothing else to do. We sat in the chairs across from the "Coolpost" and staked that out as our spot.

This was our third viewing of Illuminations for the trip.... it's such a great show. Nothing I like more than reflecting upon Earth.

The fireworks were at 10:00 tonight, and the park closed immediately after that. We took our time leaving and walked around the World Showcase some more. We went to the bathroom at the American Pavilion, and then we enjoyed the music and slowly made our way to the front of the park. We said our goodbyes to Epcot, and then got to the bus stop at 11:15.

The bus stops were pretty empty, since most people had left a while ago, and we had a nice, peaceful bus ride back!

We got back to the hotel at 11:35 and then we had to shower up, packed up, and get ready for bed! It's now 1:20am... which is ridiculous! I'm getting exhausted, and I'd better get to sleep. Our plan for tomorrow is to spend the day relaxing at the hotel and going in the pool! We're gonna get up around 9:00.

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
