"intense packing" or "fall back"

Hey Journal!

This morning we got up at about 10:30.... that is, 10:30 EST. We set the clocks back last night before we went to bed, and so we were ready to go this morning, with an extra hour of sleep!

When we got up, we watched a little TV, but there wasn't much on. Channel 7 was taken over by the NYC Marathon, so we watched a little of that, and then we got a start with our big day of packing and moving.

We have so much to move and pack and we didn't even know where to start. I boxed up some more things from the office, cleaned out the closets a little more, and then we also packed up a lot of kitchen stuff. We worked all afternoon to get things boxed and ready, and we wound up with two full carloads!

We took them over to the storage unit, but when we arrived there were no carts available, and some of the boxes were SOOOO heavy.

The storage place has a real problem with carts. They only have like 4 carts for the whole place, and there are a ton of people who always need them. On top of that, because they are so scarce, people take them and hide them in their storage units! It's ridiculous. Then, you're left with almost no carts at all.

For the amount of money they charge to rent a unit, they should really provide a lot more carts for such a big facility! Or... if people taking them and leaving them inside their units is such a problem, they should install a return system where you swipe your credit card, take the cart, and if you don't return it in 1 hour, your card gets charged a fee... and continues getting charged until you return it! This way, even if you needed it for more than 1 hour, you could return it and take it again for no charge... but ultimately people wouldn't steal them!

After that, we went over to Home Depot and got two twin sized mattress bags and a pack of stretch wrap! Then we went over to Target and got paper bowls and plastic cups as well as some food items.

When we got home, we watched TV, packed more kitchen things like bowls, plates, and glasses, and got more stuff ready to bring to storage. We're going to use the disposable stuff we got at Target until we move, this way we could pack up everything else!

Dan and I made another trip over to the storage facility around 6:30, dropped off some more boxes, and then went over to visit my mom. We also brought over the plant from our hallway. She can keep it alive while we're without a home!

I also had to turn the closed captions on for my Grandma while we were there because I had taken them off yesterday and forgotten to put them back on when I left! Woops!

My mom made cupcakes, and we had a few of them while we were there and also took some for work tomorrow! They were really good!!

When we got home, I took a shower and then at 8:30 we started watching Once Upon a Time!! Tonight's episode was really good. I'm getting mildly frustrated that we aren't really getting closer to finding Henry, but at the same time... I thought the introduction to Ariel was really cool... tie in with all the events from the Little Mermaid was cool, and the fact that Regina PRETENDED to be Ursula and then the real Ursula came back in the end was great!

I can't wait to see where things go, and how next weeks episode turns out! I like the idea that Mermaids can travel between realms, and I love that she will go to Storybrooke and find Prince Eric!

Anyway, now it's time for bed! Tomorrow is going to be a pretty quiet day at work because we're closed, Dan's dad is away hunting, and I may be alone almost the entire day!

Until tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
