"open houses"

Hey Journal!

This morning I got up just a little before 11:00 and Dan and I watched the end of This Week. We watched some more TV, and then got ready to go out for the day.

We looked up some open houses nearby, and we went to one that was right around the corner. The house was nice, but the backyard was a mess. It was huge and had a GIANT hill and a big in-ground pool! The real estate agent there was also pretty weird.

After that, we went to one in Commack. It's actually in the Town of Smithtown but it's Commack schools, but Smithtown Library. The house literally meets all of our criteria except being in the Smithtown School District! We really liked i, though! We loved the layout, the size, the condition of everything... it was really a home run!

There is one more small factor, and that's the business of the road. We didn't realize it while we were there, but Dan's parents said it's a bit of a cut-through. Tomorrow morning we're going to go over there and take a look and see how busy it gets during rush hour!

Next, I wanted to head up to the golf course to take a look around outside for Kyle's lost phone! He lost if while he was shoveling about a week ago and thought it was someone out in front of the clubhouse! I wanted to find it because I had a feeling that he wouldn't tell us if HE found it the next day. Dan and I got there and started looking. Dan got the shovel and started to move some of the snow around the edges, and I looked around. I FOUND IT... right over by the bag drop!

We brought it inside, dried off the outside, and then plugged it in! Sure enough, it started right up and worked like new! AMAZING! We need to charge it up, and then I'm gonna make sure there's nothing wrong with it so that we can sell it online and get some of the money back!

For lunch we went to Chipotle in Hauppauge. There was a really long line when we got there but it went pretty fast. Dan noticed that two of the people on the line were guys who go to our gym. They were up near the front of the line.

After we ate, we went to Target and our favorite cashier, Eric, was our cashier today. We got some stuff we needed, and then headed home.

We watched TV and hung around for about an hour and then we went over to get some mail from my mom and say hi to everyone.

We hung out for a while, told them about the house, and then we got changed and headed to the gym.

Gym Report:
1 mile on the Treadmill in 15mins
1.75 miles on the Treadmill in 33mins

When we got home, we showered up and then I ate my leftovers from Gasho for dinner!

On a different note, next weekend we were planning to go up and visit Jimmy and Mike for Jimmy's birthday party! We were pretty excited since we haven't seen them in forever.... but this afternoon we got a message to the event saying that "due to unforeseen circumstances" they were going to have to postpone the party until the following week! The first time, we thought it was pretty lucky that it happened to fall on our week off from curling, but now we won't be able to go!! :( Boo!

Anyway, now it's time for bed! Work tomorrow!

Goodnight. :)
