"the house you have been waiting for has arrived on the market"

Hey Journal!

This morning I got up at 9:30 and Dan and I watched some TV before actually getting out of bed. We watched Thursday's Carbonaro Effect and then the rest of What Would You Do? that we started last night.

When we finally got out of bed, we relocated to the couch and watched one episode of OITNB!

Surprisingly, I wasn't really hungry for breakfast and I didn't realize it until much later! At 12:00 we got ready and headed out, and went with Dan's mom to an open house.

The house was over by the entrance to the 9th Grade building...now known as Accompsett Middle School. It was a ranch, but it was very unique. It wasn't like any ranch I've ever seen before for a couple of reasons! First, it's on a weird sloping hill...Normally that would concern me, but in this case, there's a really nice deck out in the back and other than that, why would you need a flat backyard? I'm not planning to do anything on the lawn anyway!

The bedrooms were really off in a private section of the house and they have a huge master bathroom that would mean that guests don't use your private bathroom when they come over... which I like.

It had a big finished basement with lots of storage space, too. It's a little high priced, and I'm not 100% certain that I like the area. It's probably about the same distance from work as we are now, but the other side of the high school is less of a "neighborhood" than we were hoping for.

Anyway, after the open house we headed out towards Linda's. We got to her house a few minutes before she got home, and her parents were outside. They told us "Linda's not here!" as if we just stopped by! lol While we waited, we told them about the house, and they were telling us about the one Linda is looking at down the street. There were other people looking at the house while we were standing out there, too... so we wanted to go say bad things about the neighborhood to sabotage it!

When Linda got back we hung around for a little bit, Cameron got changed, and then we decided to go to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch! We had a $5 off coupon from the kids book, so we were all excited about that.

Unfortunately, when it came time to use it, they told us it wasn't valid for that location... BUT it's stupid because the book was printed before that location existed, and it's all the other location in that area! They did let us use it, though... the waitress told us "the manager is in a good mood today." (Which I thought was a stupid thing to say!)

Anyway, after lunch we went to Target, made the rounds there, and then we went to 16 Handles to get some FroYo. We analyzed their party pamphlet and decided that there is no way that it would make sense to pay $40 per person to have a FroYo party.

Next we went back to the house and hung around, then went down to the basement to play Mario Party 8! It was cool, and Connor was excited for us to play. At first we only had one controller because Connor couldn't find one and the other wasn't working. Randomly, though, the second controller started working later, and then he found the third one!

After that, we played this other game where mario puts on a cat suit. Very strange. Connor was getting a little loud and yelling a lot during that one, and Linda kept telling him to calm down. Eventually he did it again, and Linda had to drag him away while he was clutching the couch for dear life. He had to go in the bedroom, and when it was time for us to leave, Linda told him to come say goodbye, and he said "you embarrassed me in front of Brian and Dan!" Linda said, "And whose fault is that??" and he said, "YOURS!!!"

Anyway, we departed around 8:30 and headed home. I'm exhausted! We watched another episode of OITNB and now we're gonna get to sleep!

Tomorrow we have an array of things to do for Father's Day.... breakfast with Dan's dad and then lunch with my Grandpa.

Until, tomorrow...

Goodnight. :)
