Hey Journal!

Work today was pretty good. There hasn't been too much going on lately, but at the same time, there's always stuff to do.

We submitted the new survey to the lawyer's office today and she sent it to be "read in" to the title. I am really hoping that this is the last of the things we need to do. I'm so sick of thinking we're completely finished and then having something else pop up out of nowhere. I did have to cancel the insurance policy we worked so hard to get, though, because we aren't going to be closing this week.

On that topic, we are getting mixed signals about the closing. The seller's agent says "as soon as possible," but their lawyer says, "they won't be ready until the 15th." I just want to know which one it really is. We are so excited and eager to close, and if we have to wait until the 15th, that would be really crappy. I mean, it's not the end of the world, but we're just in a holding pattern now and we want to get to work moving our stuff and getting settled in while there's still some SUMMER left!

The 15th adds another 3 weeks! UGH! Whatever, hopefully we will be able to close sooner... but we will see.

I left work at 3:30 today because Dan's Dad asked me to bring the bank deposit. He was going to do it but then got sidetracked. I also had to go to the Town and drop off some paperwork for our fireworks permit. The town office is in an old school, and it's so weird inside. The fire marshal's office is a converted classroom... as I suspect all the offices are. They have two big signs on their door identifying it as the "Fire Marshal's Office," but then a small sign under it that says, "This is not the parking violations bureau office." As if it would be easy to think that....

Anyway, I got home from work at about 4:30 and nobody was home. Dan's parents, who were supposed to be in Block Island this week had gone to a funeral for their friend's father. Dan was out playing golf, so I was home all alone tonight.

I watched the news, World News, and just tried to relax for a while. I watched Girl Meets World and then took a nap for about 45 minutes. Dan got home around 8:30 and we watched Scandal and then last week's Carbonaro effect.

Now we're gonna get to bed and watch Password.
