"ole lunch" or "shiny new door handle"

Hey Journal!

This morning I got up at 10:00 and Dan got up a little bit later. We watched an episode of Scandal and then the guy came to work on the sprinklers. There was a problem with Zone 5. It wouldn't go on... so they had to replace a valve.

We hung around while they were working on it to keep an eye on the guys. They had to get in the closet in our room to access the panel.

After that were finished, we went out to Target and Best Buy. BIG NEWS: The South Setauket Target got the new, amazing plastic carts! Unfortunately, we don't go to that one much but it does give me hope that soon Commack may get them, too!

Next we went to Best Buy to see about using my reward certificates that were set to expire today. We couldn't find anything we wanted so we settled on a surge protector power strip that was $11.00. After my coupons, it was pretty cheap!

It was literally the only thing we thought we may need down the road that we could get now. Ugh.

Next we went to check out the new Fairway that opened in the Nobody Beats the Wiz plaza. It was interesting, but I wasn't super impressed. It's just another supermarket, despite their tagline which claims the opposite.

For lunch we decided to go to Meson Ole! Another one of my favorite places. We were the ONLY people in the restaurant. I got the Arroz con Pollo, of course, and it was really good today. It was a great lunch.... and since we were the only people there, there was no fear or threat of fajita!

After that we went to Bob's to check out some furniture and then we went to Price Club. We didn't get anything there, but wanted to just check out the furniture they had. They had some nice couches, but the problem is that, there, you don't have the option of getting extra sections.... and that's probably what we would need.

We didn't really have anything else to do after that, so we went to Lowe's to get the new door handle that my Grandma needed. We got it, and headed over to replace it. I wanted have it all done before they even knew I was there, but we hit a little bit of a snag when one of the pieces that came with the handle broke! If you ask me... it's kinda stupid the way they made this piece...but it broke off and we couldn't use it. We had to go back to Lowe's and get a new one, and return the old one.

After that, we got back, finished it up, and now the door is as good as new! My Grandma and Grandpa went out after that and we hung out for a little while longer. Then we left and headed home.

Dan went off to the gym and I hung out here watching TV. Dan's parents left shortly after that to go to a party for the boat club.

I got some laundry done because Dan needed a bunch of stuff for his work trip next week. He's going to be gone Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday which means I will be all alone and bored. In fact, Dan's parents are going away Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday ALSO...and I will be completely by my lonesome. Eh, It's okay.

Anyway, when Dan was back, we watched some Scandal, and when all the laundry was done...we wanted to go out for dinner.

It was about 10:00, so our dinner options were a little bit limited. We drove around for a little while and then decided to get Dominos. We got pizza and ate in the car....then we drove past our soon-to-be house before heading home.

Now we're just gonna fit in another episode of Scandal and then get to bed!
