"target gift card madness" or "jen b's house"

Hey Journal!

This morning we got up around 10:00 and our first order of business was to go to Target and take advantage of their Black Friday gift card promotion! From 6-12 today all Target gift cards were 10% off! That's amazing because it's 5% more than we would get with our RedCard!

We made our way there and loaded up on $1,200 in cards! That means we saved $120. We figured it was a good investment in our future. What a great deal... that's probably the best Black Friday sale of all! Now, everything we buy with those cards is as if it were 10% off!

After that we went to the mall to see if there were any good sales there. Dan wanted to get a new shirt for work at JCPenney in the "tall" section, but they didn't have anything he liked. On the way to the mall we stopped at Wendy's and I got some food. (We used the Wendy's card that we had gotten for 20% off with BankAmerideals!)

Next, we came home and Dan went in the backyard to do some lawn stuff. I came inside and got things put away and started to take our more Christmas decorations! I finished putting the garland on the stairs and even hung out the stocking that Aunt Chicken made for us! This is their debut... after she made them for us, we never decorated for Christmas, so this is their first appearance!

Later on, Dan went to the gym and I took a shower and got ready to go out to dinner and to Jen B's for the evening!

At 6:45, we met Re at Branchinelli's! We had dinner, and our waitress was apparently someone who we had graduated high school with. I didn't recognize her at all, but Re did. I have no idea if she recognized us, though.

This time I changed it up a little. Instead of getting spaghetti with meatballs (4), I got Fettuccine with meatballs (4)! Wahoo!

After we ate, we headed over to Jen B's and arrived around 8. She and Lisa had stayed home and had leftovers. Lau met us there as well and we hung out and just had a fun time. To get the season started, we watched the Muppet Family Christmas! Wahoo! What an excellent movie! I love when Bert dresses up as "mama," the "gobbley goobley humonga," the icy patch, and so much more. What a classic!!

We left a little before 11:00 and headed home. Dan and I watched a little TV... some Judge Judy... and now it's time for bed!
