"liz's birthday dinner" or "galavant debacle"

Hey Journal!

We're expecting a BIG snowstorm tomorrow into Tuesday! It's supposed to be a blizzard. They're saying that it should start around 3:00pm tomorrow and will continue over night. The forecast calls for winds up to 50 MPH which is basically like a hurricane! Wild.

So, before it all happens, my prediction is that I will go to work as usual tomorrow but leave early, as soon as the restaurant is finished. (They have a funeral luncheon tomorrow.) Then, we'll be closed on Tuesday! I also think that the power might go out, and while you know I LOVE a good power outage... I'm a little worried about this one since it's soooo cold outside! If there's one thing I really don't like it's being cold... so I guess I'd better be prepared with extra blankets and sweatshirts tomorrow night!

This morning we got up around 10:00 and watched some more episodes of House of Cards. We contemplated going out to breakfast but it never happened. Later in the afternoon I wound up having a Target pizza and Dan had one, too.

We went out for a little while in the afternoon and got gas in the car. I had only one bar left and I HATE stopping for gas on the way to work in the morning. We were going to stop last night on the way home from curling but we forgot! While we were there, we saw our real estate agent on the other side of the station! We didn't say hi... but I was excited to see him there.

When we got home, Dan went to the gym and I did some laundry and cleaned up around the house a bit. Dan got back around 5:30, showered up, and then we left at 5:45 to go to dinner with Liz.

We met at 6:00 at Branchinelli's! Her birthday was yesterday, the 24th, but we went out to celebrate tonight. We were seated in the back of the restaurant and we had a really weird waitress. She was just awkward and we never knew who she was talking to when she came over to the table. She also clanged two dishes together REALLY loudly at one point.

When we were done we headed over to Target because we had some good coupons to use. I had $1 off ANY Mott's Apple Juice, $1 off those Naked drinks Dan likes... AND another $1 off Target Coupon! Niceeee.

The milk section was ravaged, as always before a storm. We didn't need any, though...we had just gotten some yesterday!

When we went to check out there was a huge line and just as we got on it they started handing out their "sorry" coupon for $3 off! Yessss! They only gave us one for the both of us, but then the lady in front of us got two by accident and gave one of them to us! YES! This is probably the third time that's happened to us, and I love it every time.

We got home, I showered up, and then we started to watch Galavant! We were excited since it was the big finale and about 15 minutes in the TV just freezes! We were so confused! This Optimum commercial was just frozen on the screen for about 10 minutes! We checked twitter and there were TONS of complaints to Cablevision! They responded to all the tweets and basically just told everyone to use their On Demand channel TOMORROW. What a mess. So, we stopped watching that and we'll catch it on WatchABC later in the week. Maybe while we're snowed in!

And so here I am! Ready for bed and off to sleep...
