"house of the medium" or "meeting re's bachelor #1"

Hey Journal!

As I mentioned before, I got up this morning at 10:00. Actually, it was a few minutes before my alarm went off.

Dan, Thom, and LaLo had to take showers and get ready. We left here around 11 and then headed to the diner for breakfast. We went to Candlelight in Commack. I got the french toast because I was really craving something different. I got it with two eggs, though, too.

As we were leaving a random man struck up a conversation with us. He was the guy filling the crane machine with stuffed animals. He was really nice and he was talking about the weather, mostly. He happened to be parked right next to us in the parking lot and his whole back seat of his car was full of stuffed animals! It was crazy!

We went over to Target because Thom wanted Lali to experience a bottle return for the first time. In California, they bring their bottles to get weighed and then they get paid depending on the total weight they bring back. I don't really understand how that works because bottles that aren't completely empty or have stuff in them would weight more. It's really a weird concept. Anyway, we did that and then we hurried over to the Blue Point Brewery!

We wanted to get there by 1:00 so we could take the free tour. I think counting today I've been there about 3 or 4 times and we've never done the tour so I thought that would be cool. We arrived and got our samples.... I took order for everyone since I don't like beer so they each got an extra one!

At 1:00 the tour didn't start so Dan went to inquire. Sadly, the tour was cancelled because they were having a new door installed in the brewing room and nobody was allowed in there while it was going on. Blast!

We hung out there for a while and then we left and headed west. We stopped by the golf course and gave them a little tour of my work environment and then we went to see the house of the Long Island Medium! It was surprisingly easy to find and when we drove by, we were certain we had found the right place because there was a sign asking to respect their "sacred privacy!" I was hoping I'd see her come out to check her mail or something... but no such luck.

It was about 3:00 and the train from Hicksville left at 3:16. We hurried to the station and I went in with them to get the tickets. We used the ticket machine and Thom entered the wrong passcode for his debit card! When he cancelled the transaction, the machine dispensed about two dollars in quarters! Amazing! I like that kind of machine!

After that, Dan and I headed home. We were both EXHAUSTED but we decided to watch last week's Better Call Saul. We have so many shows to catch up on from while Dan was away. We also did the laundry and sheets from the guest room.

When we were done with the show Dan wanted to take a nap. I finished up the laundry and then too an hour nap, myself. Dan slept for about 2 hours.

We woke up at about 8:00 and planned to leave at 8:45 for curling. Over the past few weeks I have been talking to Re about her new love interests that she met online and we've been discussing all of Re's like and concerns about them. Tonight, one of them said he would like to meet up with her after curling and she invited him to come out to the diner with us. We were quite excited to finally meet okDave!

At 8:45 we left here and we picked up Re. We got to curling at about 9:40 and it was perfect timing... the games were just about to begin.

We played amazingly tonight. Dan was the skip and we all had great shots. However it happened, we managed to win with a score of 13-3! We had some really high scoring rounds and so we turn on the heat right after we locked in dead last place! Go us!

It was probably the best game we've ever played as a team. The second best game was our first game ever, and we lost that one.

After curling we all went to the diner! I love when we have team diner excursions afterwards... It makes curling fun... getting to actually hang out after the game. In addition to our team, we had a special guest with us. As I mentioned before, Re brought the guy she's been seeing.

He was really nice and seemed like a fun person. We were at the diner for a while and we hung out talking after we finished eating. The only problem is that Re isn't sure he's the right guy for her and she doesn't want to lead him on.

Anyway, we just got home and I took my shower, Dan is taking a shower now and then we're off to bed! Another late night. Two nights in a row we've been in bed around 3am! What's going on!?
