"pizza and jen b's new house" or "miller's with joe"

Hey Journal!

This morning I got up and headed off to work! It was another busy day since today was the due date for all the dues! It was good that it fell on a Friday, though, much better than a weekend. A bunch of members came in to drop off checks but most of the payments were by credit card.

The installation of the walk-in box continued today and they were almost finished with it when I left work. Unfortunately, the electrician can't get here until Tuesday so we'll have to wait to start using it.

For lunch, my mom called and asked if I wanted some Chipotle. I couldn't resist, so she dropped it off for me on her lunch break. A little later, I also had some chicken wings which were the employee meal of the day.

I made a list of stuff that I have to get done at work, things that I have to do now, things I have to do before I go away, and things I have to do when I get back! I'm trying to get things crossed off the list as fast as I can!

After work, Dan went to a Mets game with a lot of people from his work and I had plans to go out for pizza with Lau and Jen B! It was originally supposed to be a much larger group but everyone kept dropping out at the last second!

As soon as I got home, I did my treadmill times.

2 miles on the Treadmill in 30mins

I was annoyed because at some point during my walk the screen went blank on the treadmill and I couldn't see how long/how far I had gone! Luckily, I knew that I had gone 4mph the entire time and I had sent a text message almost immediately after starting, so I knew what time that was, and just figured it out from there.

At 7:30, I got to the pizza place and was surprised to find that JC was there as well! She wasn't feeling well earlier but started to feel better. Jen B and Lisa were running a little late so we went ahead and ordered our pizza. I got two slices. The guy at the counter started talking to us about Stony Brook because Lau had a Stony Brook shirt on.

He said he goes there but he hates it. He was asking me about what I went there for and how I liked it.

When Jen B and Lisa arrived, I was just finishing my pizza and decided to do a periscope! We had about 32 watchers! It was great. I love Periscope! We got some hearts and it was good times.

After that, we went to the porn store because Lau had a gift certificate that she needed to use. Unfortunately, it was expired and they wouldn't let her use it. I mean, I wasn't really sure if that was legal, but I think it is in New York as long as it's clearly marked (which it was.) I also don't really see WHY they do that, but whatever!

Next up, we went to see Jen B's new house! I didn't even know they had GOTTEN the house! Apparently it happened yesterday! So, there's a crazy story about this, though.... Jen B asked if we wanted to come see it and of course we did! She said she had to go pick up a mattress before heading over there, so we said we'd meet her there. Lisa offered to give us the key so we could go inside to wait for them.

We got there, went inside and basically gave ourselves the self-guided tour of the entire house! Lau helped herself to the fruit snacks in the kitchen and we explored the basement, the garage, the backyard, and my personal favorite..."Nick's Room."

We waited a while and then got a text from Jen B that she was stuck in standstill traffic because of a fire. The fire trucks had shut down an entire street and she had no way to get around it!

We still hung around for a while longer but then I had to go pick up Dan! We had to leave because Jen B even got there! Such a ridiculous story we have about the first time we saw Jen B's house!

Anyway, on my way to pick up Dan, Dan said that his friend Joe wanted to go to Miller's in Commack and hang out for a while, so we met there. I had one drink but I wouldn't have been good to drive if I had any more than that so I had to hold back. We hung out there for a while...basically until they made us leave by turning on all the lights! There were still a handful of other people there when we left, so it wasn't like we were the only ones sitting there....

I think we let around 1:30 and I then I drove Joe home and Dan left his car there. We got home, and now we're just getting ready for bed! Late night!!
